Driver/Navigator, Holliston, MA - July 8, 2015
I am a current employee working out of the Holliston Branch in Massachusetts. They start you off between 11-12 (I myself making 12) an hour which isn't bad but don't expect a pay raise. The work isn't too bad as long as your use to manual labor however the hours can be brutal averaging 12-16 hour days 5 days a week. The company doesn't really seem to care that much for their employees after multiple complaints of people feeling over worked and burnt out. Injuries are very common with people hurting their knees, back, shoulders, and repeatedly having stuff dropped on their toes and feet. As far as breaks go you won't have time to physically sit down and eat you'll eat driving between job sites but not have a time set aside for you to be able to relax. Add-ons are the biggest issue at our branch when being hired they tell you no add-ons after 5pm but have been known to still be accepting them at 7pm keeping truck teams out till 11pm or later in some cases some teams have been out till 3am. Profits are the bottom line and thats all the company appears to care about as profits go up the care for employees goes further and further down. The only perk to this job is the fact that if you find something you like you get to keep it but those cases are far and few. Most people there after working a couple months are actively seeking other jobs. If you need a job instantly then its an ok temporary job but anything over 3 months isn't worth it. I can't speak for other branches just my own experience and having finally found a new and put my two weeks in I want to share with you my experience and hopefully you learn from my mistakes.
