extremely micromanaged, unprofessional managers

I sincerely don't ever want to go back to anything that deals with apartments thanks to this company. If you decide to live at one of their properties your rent is deducted from your paycheck, Health insurance is very expensive and sucks. They make you drive around for training and marketing but do not give your mileage back. They do not give renewal commissions and their "tier" commissions per lease is really a joke. I'm so glad I'm out of there I really had a bad experience with 1st lake.
Pros
nothing
Cons
very low salary and commissions suck

Typical day was micro managed; very stressful. The most enjoyable part was the allowance of moving up when requested.

Rude upper management.
Assistant Property Manager (Former Employee) –  Picayune, MSAugust 17, 2013
Unless your rude or know the higher up management, you will not go far. Assistant managers, Ground keepers, and residents are shown NO respect. You will be used and lied to. Pay is okay, but when you factor in the rude treatment from your GM, Manager, home office and the unhappy residents, it's so not worth it. Very high turnover rate. RUN! RUN! RUN!
Cons
everything!!! from pay to stress and residents being upset..
