Simple job made difficult by very poor management.
Night Service Representative (Current Employee) – Fairfax, VA – March 31, 2017
Working as a Service Representative isn't difficult. The management of 24 Hour Fitness make it a stressful environment for no logic reasoning. They seem to have a misguided approach to how they carry themselves and interact with members. Treating a gym similar to a car dealership more than what you would think of from a gym.
Kids Club Supervisor/ Service Representative (Current Employee) – Eastvale, CA – June 10, 2017
Overall great workplace for students or individuals in need of flexibility. As a supervisor I was in charge of ensuring a smooth day to day operation of my department. Provided schedules and delegate duties.
PERSONAL TRAINER (Former Employee) – Hermosa Beach, CA – June 7, 2017
Inspiring place to work. Healthy, fun environment. Good, helpful co workers. Helpful management. The most enjoyable part of the job was working with the clients, training them, teaching them and seeing the results they achieved. Seeing the clients happy, healthy, and reaching their fitness and weight goals was very rewarding for them and for me as their trainer.
there is no teamwork at all the management doesn't care about its employees dirty place to work at some people are rude and selfish bad training and bad introduction to the company and its rules or norms
you can workout at the facilities without charge
bad training, bad management, no work life balance
Operations Manager (Current Employee) – Redmond, WA – June 6, 2017
Are used to really enjoy working here. There is not a lot of work life balance and managing young employees really takes a toll on you. I'm definitely looking for something more I can advance my leadership knowledge and communication skills without all of the retail drama.
Sales Representative Night (Current Employee) – The Woodlands, TX – June 4, 2017
Whether you're working overnights or days, you will be busy and basically the face of the company. The hardest part about going to the gym is getting there and a step further is going and being remembered and appreciated by the staff and people who see you regularly. Very important to keep up appearances and stay on top of things.
Sales Advisor (Former Employee) – San Jose, CA – June 3, 2017
Very fun and out going job. you hear a lot of life stories and talk to a lot of different people. you're able to change lives, you're selling a gym membership not something materialistic. you're investing in your health.
free 24 hour gym membership, 15% discount on food, drinks, and clothes.
you end up being a gym head and it gets difficult to leave the gym.
Assistant Operations Manager (Former Employee) – North Hollywood, CA – June 3, 2017
Each day was a new experience. You learn how to handle stressful situations whether it be through applying first aid or by dealing with prime time rush. You grow relationships with the members,, and if you have a desire you can move up in the company pretty quickly.
