Engineer (Former Employee) – Houston, TX – January 21, 2016
The good stuff: Great company to work for, the management takes care of you, benefits are unmatched, free lunch and beer on Friday, paid time off is amazing. Company strives to be the best in what they do. If you have a thing for the kind of work they do, you are in luck!
The not so good stuff: Overall growth is restrictive, there is a general disconnect between upper and middle management, the decisions ultimately lie with the upper management but seems like they are not talking to people below and making these decisions purely on their perceptions and opinions This does reflect a general lack of trust. The projects are usually underbid and there is always a compulsive need to impress the clients and sometimes unfortunately it does come at the cost of stressed engineers.
Having said that, if you are looking for job security, there is no place like this.
Great pay, benefits, job security
Closed door management, underbid projects, too focussed on one area

2H is a great company to work for in the oil and gas industry. They are a smaller company with great values and a fun and hard working culture. Everyone is friendly and outgoing, and it is a very team-like environment. Projects are always changing and the work is interesting and challenging.
