The Data Center Platforms Architect will contribute to enterprise wide strategic planning and architecture for Data Center Platforms which is achieved by providing strategic guidance to help clients effectively utilize data center assets within the enterprise. This position requires broad IT knowledge of data center technologies with an expert level focus on database, middleware and web server platforms. This position will contribute to the development of the strategy and architecture for data center systems.

Minimum Qualifications Required
** Bachelors and/or Masters Degree in computer science, engineering, information technology or related field, or equivalent work experience; certifications are highly regarded.
** Demonstrated expert knowledge of Database, Integration and web server technologies.
** Hands-on experience and strong understanding of technology, particularly as related to IT operations and support.
** Minimum of 7 years of overall IT experience
** Minimum of 3 years in an IT Architect role
Minimum of 5 years of use of the following technologies: Oracle Database, Microsoft SQL server, WebLogic Server, Microsoft IIS and Apache.
Preferred experience in the following technologies: Oracle SOA Suite, VMware, RedHat, Windows and AIX, MySQL, JBOSS and Tomcat.
** Responsible for the development and management of Database, Middleware and Web Server platform Standards, Design Patterns, Reference Architectures, Sub-Domain Strategies and Roadmaps.
** Supports Information Technology Business Technology Leads, Business Architects, and Solution Architects to provide IT solutions to meet business needs that are consistent with Enterprise Standards, Architectures and Strategies.
** Work individually and collectively with the primary DCPA stakeholders to ensure that Technical Standards, Reference Architectures, Design Patterns are consistent with stakeholder Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and all Information Architecture Strategies.
** Works closely with the other Domain Architects - Works individually and collectively with other Enterprise Domain Architects to ensure breadth and granularity of strategies, standards and reference architectures are consistent and well integrated across Enterprise Architecture Domains and Roadmaps.
** Collaborates and provides guidance to various Center-of-Excellence (COE) teams within CLIENT and will work with Center of Expertise (COE) leads for Database Management, Web and Integration to ensure they are kept current on technology developments, trends and practices and new Business initiatives.
** Works with the Program Office to support the Information Technology Governance process that help ensure Business IT initiatives comply with the Enterprise Architecture Standards, Strategies and Roadmaps.
** Maintain industry awareness and knowledge with the latest tools and technologies to support Database and application integration on an enterprise scale.
** Reviews and evaluates new technologies to help determine technology roadmaps.
