Personnel, engineering, and consulting firm Technisource provides a broad range of information technology (IT) staffers and services from some 55 offices and five delivery centers throughout the US. The company's contractors provide such services as system and software design and development, outsourcing management, project management, and quality assurance and testing. Other offerings include graphic design, network engineering, and technical writing. Clients come from industries such as health care, finance, telecommunications, manufacturing, and retail. Technisource is a subsidiary of staffing giant Randstad Holding.
To further its penetration in the North American market, Technisource launched its first Canadian offices in 2010. Located in Toronto and Ottawa, the new locations provide IT staffing services with expertise in serving the banking and financial services, government, software, telecommunications, and professional services sectors.
Staffing firm SFN Group bought Technisource for $140 million in 2007 and integrated it with its own IT staffing and support operations. Years later, SFN Group made headlines around the industry when it was acquired by global staffing powerhouse rival Randstad, one of the largest temporary staffing and employment services agencies in the world (behind leader Adecco). Ranstad bought SFN Group for about $770 million in 2011. – less
