Class A Driver (Former Employee) – Springfield, MA – July 11, 2016
Easy work and good home time. Equipment was ok. Working for this company was good. What I didn't like was management at the Springfield ma terminal. Guy was very rude. He had no people skills. He was all ways yelling and putting u down. never treated you like an employee.
Customer Service Representative (Former Employee) – Morris, IL – September 30, 2016
The actual job itself was fun, but the office politics was too much! This place is like being in a bad high school. I enjoyed dealing with the drivers and helping them out. The managers are really sly and are always talking negatively about everyone. The managers also use their job as a dating place. If you're a woman, be careful because they WILL make unwanted moves on you! They think because their position is above you, they can do this. And don't bother going to the HR department with your claim because the person in charge there has NO idea what to do about it! She won't even take notes when you tell her about all the incidents. The only thing she'll say to you is "do you have proof?" It's unbelievable!
Fun work, A Few Genuinely Nice People
Office Back Stabbing, Bad Management, Worse HR Manager
Driver (Former Employee) – Charlotte, NC – April 16, 2016
The training was decent but you'll be on the bottom of the list for runs. Senior drivers get the miles and you get short runs with no money. Expect "it's slow right now" to be a regular thing. The equipment is ex-Werner trucks or worn out A&R Petes and old leaky trailers. Good stater job in pneumatic tanks but you'll make barely over minimum pay of $700 a week and you have to be available 7 days a week to get that. Also, check your check as runs are often left off or minimum pay not included. Checks of 300 or 400 are frequent
Poor equipment, low miles, have to check your check stub for accuracy
CST (Current Employee) – ATLANTA, GA – April 2, 2016
I have worked with this company for 5 years and it is challenging and sometimes routine. I have been promised a pay raise for 2 years and nothing, I did however get a 1%, yes 1% pay raise. I do enjoy the people I work with and the morale is up and down, but at the end of the day we all work as a team.
Local Driver (Current Employee) – Philadelphia, PA – March 19, 2016
After 1 week of classroom/hands on training in Morris Il. and 2 weeks with a 23 year veteran driver/trainer at home terminal in Philadelphia, I have to say I'm impressed with the company. Management and Training Dept have been upfront and professional every step so far. What you're told is what you can expect. Not a job for a steering wheel holder. Very physical job at times.
Tank Washer (Former Employee) – Columbus, OH – February 2, 2016

Warehouse Associate/ Picker (Current Employee) – Buena Park, CA – June 15, 2015
Topical day at A&R Logistics Inc. is systematically pulling orders from priority of 2,500 LBS. of sugar via forklift operating. Fulfilling invoice for delivery orders as well as filling daily completed orders for the day. I’ve learned to efficiently provide instructions to trainees. I was able to create a team work environment between new trainees and co-workers. I have ability to resolve any issues in my area at any time and enjoy achieving all goals and task for the day.
Logistics Manager (Former Employee) – Fort Worth, TX – April 26, 2015
I loved working at A&R. I learned so much about the logistics, & transport business. I fulfilled all of a certain company's orders, & ensured that orders were executed exactly as company requested. I learned how to spot & release railcars from our rail yard, & scaled our bulk trucks in & out. I also scheduled expedited orders when needed. Co-workers were awesome, and it was a laid back atmosphere that I loved!
Capacity Development Recruitment (Current Employee) – Morris, IL – March 3, 2015
Everyday is a journey in the Transportation industry. No two days are a like. My colleagues are fantastic individuals with bright spirits and are always finding some new and exciting things to incorporate into the day to day duties.
Great work enviroment but under payed and not appriciated
Warehouse Worker (Current Employee) – College Park, GA – August 14, 2014
Good job if you need a job. Otherwise we are under paid for our skill set. Coworkers are great but management is great for the company but not the employees. Employees don't have no sick days or personal time days.
Employee (Former Employee) – Morris, IL – August 30, 2013
Great provider of services and some great people even outstanding in some areas. New ownership has caused a semi-confused culture to become paranoid in possibilities of increased change. All leadership from company that grew to $250M has been relieved from their duties.
If you want to be overworked and under paid this is the job for you.
Customer Solutions Technician (Former Employee) – Morris, IL – June 25, 2013
They make you say yes to every customer which leads to days and days of headaches especially when you cant cover a load. They give you more work then a normal person can handle. And when someone is off for the day you have to pick up their accounts. This makes for a very stressful work enviroment. The managers are really sly. No one you can really trust.
Great coworkers minus management.
Management. hours, salary position (when you easily work over 40 hours), can be called in at all hours of the night, expect you to work from home.
