The responsibility of this position is to assist in planning, organizing and implementation of the operation of the Social Service Department in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations, established policies and procedures, and as may be directed by the Department Director.
Minimum Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited School of Social Work. The person must hold a current LSW. Minimum of (2-5) two - five years of supervised social work experience in a health care setting working directly with individuals. Knowledge and demonstrated competence of medical Social Work, ethic and cultural diversities. Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general public. Be a supportive team member, contribute to and be an example of team work and team concept and be able to relate information concerning a resident’s condition. This position will also have weekend manager rotation duty and occasional need to work later in the evening during surveyor visiting.
