More team discussion and review. We used to do this thing called a team huddle when I started working there. I can't remember the last time we did one. I believe that review and recognition are important, as are positive criticism. If they could bring back that network I believe it would really improve the overall work environment.

Hire people to specifically be cashiers rather than dumping the responsibility on the department sales associates ---- don't single out one person for the entire shift to be called up to register---- since everyone is trained for the responsibility work on a rotation. Hire a janitor to clean the bathrooms and someone to push carriages.
