- Able to legally drive in US with an approved driving record
- Must be able to speak and read English well enough to converse with the general public, understand highway traffic and signals and be able to make legible entries on reports and records.
- Must also be able to speak Spanish fluently.
- Successfully pass pre-employment (post offer) drug screen, background and motor vehicle records check.
- Minimum 2 plus years experience in custodial/maintenance/facilities/construction field in a fast-paced environment.
- Prior supervisory experience
- Professional appearance and communication ability.
- Ability to work various shifts including evenings and overnights with flexibility to work additional hours and weekends as needed. Note: This is a 24-hour business.
- Ability to respond swiftly to emergency calls.

Supervises and coordinates the activities of crews on the maintenance of grounds for industrial, commercial, or public properties and other installation/enhancement activities by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate crew members.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Drives crew to/from/between worksites where needed.
Assigns daily tasks to crew.
Ensures crews compliance with quality and safety standards.
Trains and evaluates the effectiveness of crews.
Monitors proper use of required personal protective equipment on crew.
Ensures proper use, care and inventory of company vehicles, equipment and tools assigned
to and/or used by assigned crew.
Communicates crew performance concerns to office staff and management with recommendations for corrective action. Depending on season, may be required to shovel snow from sidewalks and
parking lots and spread salt on public passage ways to prevent snow and ice buildup.
Directly supervises 3 - 5 employees on crews. Larger crews may need supervision depending on project size. Able to execute supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; escalating complaints or issues to management that surface on the crews.
Qualifications to perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Ability to learn cleaning maintenance procedures if not known and be able to train staff as needed. Directing and managing maintenance crew. Assigning tasks and following up on completion. Guiding the workers effectively for optimal results. Assisting in resolving operational issues and discipline of maintenance staff. Performing quality control inspections and reviews. Ensuring sufficient quantity of supplies, equipment and tools are on-hand at all times. Assisting with inventory control and managing equipment as directed. Maintaining a safe physical environment in order to prevent slips, trips and falls of employees and visitors. Reviewing and approving staff schedules, timekeeping, attendance and payroll.
Ability to read, write and speak English proficiently enough to read, comprehend and complete required driver or regulatory forms and reports, interpret road signs, and speak to law enforcement officials when needed. Required to speak fluent Spanish.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out oral instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Current Driver's License in good standing.
Pesticide license may be desired or willingness to obtain license once after employment.
