FOR AFGANISTAN: YOU MUST BE ABLE TO SAY YES TO THE FOLLOWING TO QUALIFY:
1. Must have some training in electronics. Do you know the difference between voltage and amps? Do you have an EE or electronics training?
2. Are you a use Citizen? Sorry no dual citizenships or green cards, current clearance is a plus.
Required Skills: The FSR position is an unaccompanied overseas position that will deploy the candidate hired to various locations in Southwest Asia and the Middle East. The candidate applying shall have progressively responsible experience in the operation and maintenance of technology services and systems with overseas experience in the CENTCOM AOR in a technical/leadership capacity. The employee is responsible for field training and therefore must possess effective oral and written communication skills in any two or more of the following target languages: Urdu, Pashtu, Dari, Arabic. The candidate hired for this position will have an interim Secret Clearance from the USG. A denial by the USG to grant the employee a Secret Clearance will result in the employee being dismissed from the company. A denial by the host nation to allow entry into their country will also result in the employee being dismissed from the company.
Prerequisite Skills: The employee must have the ability to clear and maintain (1) USG pre-deployment medical/dental/physical requirements, (2) clear USG vetting, (3) pass High Risk Environment (HRE) training and (4) pass with a score of no less than 80% on all program written and practical assessments (5) must complete and pass all system pre-deployment training evolutions (6) lift 75 pounds (7) maintain USG mandated medical/dental/physical fitness standards at all times (8) demonstrate use of basic hand tools; screwdrivers, wrenches, sockets, ratchets, pliers, drills, saws (9) demonstrate use of Test Measurement and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE); multi-meter, power meter, spectrum analyzer, oscilloscope.
The employee shall have a valid passport, medical/dental fitness for deployment to Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, and other danger/hardship locations. Frequent and extended travel overseas in support of the program will be required. Prior experience supporting USG contracts, experience living on the economy in the Middle East/South West Asia or Africa and must know the Middle Eastern culture. Past experience working with foreign government officials, good communication, time management skills, living in a high stressful field environment with difficult and austere working conditions is a minimum requirement. Ability to work in a team environment with government customers, contractors and local nationals to complete mission objectives.
