It's a great job if you like retail. It's not easy to move from retail to other parts of the business.

Normal 8 to 5 office environement with regular lunch and coffee breaks.

It was a overall busy but stressful job. Great benefits and perks.

During busy times of the year we were not allowed to leave our desk unless it was to take a restroom break. They would even bring in food and serve you at your desk while you stayed on the phones to continue taking calls. Work/life balance was completely unheard of with DELL.

Great company to work for. Employees and managers alike are deeply committed to the company.

They are also committed to moving you up in the company and helping you develop professionally. Facilities are nice and well kept. Flexible work hours if you need to take care of your kids, awesome technology, good benefits, and stable employment in good locations.

Best – more...  part - they are great about cross training and making sure that you do not get trapped in a particular role.

The only con is that top management is all in one location(Dallas) and if you are not there you are missing out on visibility and advancement opportunities. – less

Awesome company with good management. Compensation and versatility at job was great. Tried promoting and it was rather difficult. Customer service and interacting with vastly indifferent people constantly was ok. Was manager on duty a lot when management was not present. This company has great benefits. But was not able to give customer service. Only had time to take payments and if customer had question about account I had to transfer to different dept.

Working at AT&T is a constant challenge due to the evolving nature of telecommunications. These challenges are welcomed for the most part, because new technological advancements are exciting. Being able to demonstrate to consumers how these advancements can make their lives better is a welcomed reward.

Lots of showmanship with every customer. This job was almost like show business as far as having o reinvent yourself with every transaction.

Answer customer/client requests or inquiries concerning services, products, billing, equipment, claims, and reports problem areas.

The company started out great and with each successive merger the company culture turn less employee friendly. Company politics and Managers bonus were decision makers each merger package.
In the end it was a about gender and race biases that were ruling the game and burden of proof is hard.

I enjoyed working for America Online & I was able to determine my own income by my performance reviews.

Took photos for badges for employees to gain entry into the building, I maintained the facility that had over 150 employees, handled any issues with plumbing, lighting, or other building issues, called in – more...  appropriate workers to fix the problem, and was responsible for all of the keys and pass codes for the security of the building. – less

This is a great company and has great culture. I recommend learning more.

The managers guide you on how to sell. Training was well efficient, the benefits are met to standard. the environment is please to be in.

I assisted customers with their bills and also upsaled items for there account. Learned to develop patience for customers who were irrate. Co-workers were always helpful and management was great. I loved the full service cafeteria te company had.

They are like most customer service companies. You take an average of 40-50 calls per day and it's imperative that you follow the script. Zero tolerance for not doing so because of "quality assurance". Points system for attendance that evaporates yearly, rather than 6 months like most other places.

Loved working with Cingular wireless, before AT&T bought them out. The work days were exciting and always changing. Different people, a different day. New phones will come out and guess who was the testers... yup, us!
