Sales Executive (Former Employee) –  Murray, UTApril 27, 2017
If you love sales and are motivated to be better than yesterday this is your job. Great pay, benefits, culture and so on. Must be ok with standing for long hours, hitting quota, handling customer service issues, staying up to date on technology etc.
Pros
Great pay and benefits
Cons
Long hours and odd schedule

DirectTV Installer (Current Employee) –  Oklahoma City, OKApril 27, 2017
Time management leaves something to be desired. You must work in any weather conditions and rules for missed work are nearly impossible to meet without it being ruled unexcused

CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTIVE-INSTALL TECHNICIAN (Former Employee) –  Macon, GAApril 26, 2017
Start the day off by getting job assignments for the day. Verify you have the proper equipment loaded on your van.
Install customer ordered equipment and program the equipment to receive the selected channels.
Teach customer how to properly use equipment so there will be no issues once job is completed.
Pros
Meet new people every day and the benefits are great

Great benefits. It is what it is, is a daily phrase. You can only control what you can control is a way of life. Great job for people who don't have a degree but know they can really provide something to customers

Senior Speciailst - Systems Admin (Former Employee) –  Englewood, COApril 26, 2017
ATT is one of the most backwards thinking operations I have seen. While the leadership it focused on grabbing up more companies and expanding their global footprint, they show no compassion for their employees. layoffs (surplus is the term they like) are a regular part of business and there is no security for employees. While they are told buy the brand, promote the brand call centers are being built at a break neck speed, all of which are over seas. while domestic call centers are being squeezed under "hiring freezes" the handwriting is on the wall. ATT loves american money, but not american workers.

I have had a good experience working at AT&T. Although I have not experienced the progression in my career that I initially would have expected I have enjoyed the time working here.

Ad Composer (Former Employee) –  Anaheim, CAApril 26, 2017
A typical work day was about the same type ad, QC, and return to sales /customer service. Each ad was not typed the same way so, learning new ways to compose a ad. I had a very good sup and the management cared about you. Hardest part of the job was learning how to compose ads a different way.
Pros
Working in a very good environment
Cons
Lunch was only 30 min. Hated it

Customer Assistant (Current Employee) –  Detroit, MIApril 26, 2017
This is a union shop represented by Communication Workers of America (CWA). Continuous calls from DSL Broadband Internet customers. This job is repetitive. Troubleshooting internet services connectivity by multi-tasking is a must as this job requires the agent to handle many tools, have great listening skills and have excellent soft skills to be able to resolve customer issues. This job is a call center environment with ever changing schedules. You have to be willing and able to work days, nights, weekends and holidays. The hardest part of the job is the repetitiveness and the fluctuating work hours. The most enjoyable part of the job is the people you work with and the satisfaction you get from being able to resolve the customers' issue(s)

AT&T is a good place to work. Many people have been there for years, since the days of SNET. Very casual atmosphere, but the technology is fairly cutting edge.

Sales Consultant (Former Employee) –  Baxter, MNApril 25, 2017
Poor management and accountability, I would not recommend this job to a friend. This is a large company so there may be locations with better treatment but the turnover and long history in my location with no improvement does not inspire confidence in this company.
Pros
Good Pay
Cons

Project Mgr. IBM GTM Accounts (Former Employee) –  Oakton, VAApril 25, 2017
Rather not say it depends on you and the contract and team you are assigned to. Not all contracts are created equally and not all vendors are nice. So best of luck in your dealings with the contract and your support internal as well as external.
Pros
Depends on the team and the contract
Cons
If you have a bad contract then you know the consequences
