We are looking for an IT Support Specialist who enjoys working not only with various software applications and technologies but also with people; someone who can work effectively independently as well as in a team.
The IT Specialist will assist with the day-to-day operations and IT support for ATEL Capital Group and it's subsidiaries from our Denver location. The primary focus is to implement, test, and manage business continuity hardware/ software to ensure safe and secure data transfer between our San Francisco and Denver facilities. This continuous process will require researching the latest stable cost-effective technology and the ability to form vendor partnerships. Additional responsibilities include assisting with desktop, networking, server, and telecom projects. This role will support on-site/ remote clients and our Executive team.
-Support and design redundant systems in relation to disaster recovery and data archiving.
-Investigate, escalate, and/ or arrange support to resolve production issues that may originate in database, network, or application systems.
-Perform product evaluations, recommendations, and implementations of current software and hardware technology.
-Facilitate technical support for Great Plains, LeasePlus, MAS90, Microsoft Outlook/Exchange, Internet Explorer, and select proprietary applications.
-Install, upgrade, and patch backup software as well as install and update hardware, firmware and drivers.
-Provide or facilitate in-person, remote, phone, and e-mail support in a timely manner.
-Build and maintain user, technical, and installment documentation for supported services.
-Assist with management of mobile devices (Blackberry, iPhone, iPad) and deployment through centralized servers.
-Good understanding of TCP/IP networking for LAN and WAN in an Enterprise environment.
-Microsoft Certified with four (4) year degree in Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
-Three (3) years' experience with company data restore, backup, and off-site recovery.
-Knowledge of best practices using VMware/ Hyper-V virtualization and Microsoft OS software.
-Experience using NAS, SAN, and SCSI or Fiber attached devices.
-Strong customer service focus and supportive, helpful attitude.
