Position Description Summary:
Implement technical solutions, identify and assemble required resources, and manage the work scope, in accordance with management directives. Organize, coordinate and perform field monitoring activities. Perform other tasks as may be assigned.
Principal Accountabilities (The following is intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed. It is not an exhaustive list of all expectations.):
-Operate, maintain, mobilize and install water treatment systems for construction stormwater, groundwater and industrial wastewater.
-Maintain treatment equipment, pumps, motors, sensing devices, and instrumentation.
-Interact with clients and regulators.
-Sample and test various water-quality parameters as required. Some tests will be performed by WTT in on-site laboratory.
-Operate the water treatment system(s) to treat and/or pre-treat water; monitoring system performance; adjusting chemical injection rates, system flow rates, and differential pressures; controlling back-flush cycle timing, duration, and flow to maintain optimum system performance.
-Perform background water quality monitoring (streams and wetlands).
-Maintain accurate operational logs and prepare operational reports.
-Conduct corrective and preventive maintenance as necessary to ensure that the systems operate reliably.
-Escalate issues as necessary.

Knowledge and Skills:
-A person with high integrity and a strong work ethic
-Minimum of an Associate Degree
-Ability to perform required tasks of position independently
-Strong science and mechanical skills
-Demonstrated level of maturity and judgment
-Ability to take initiative, don’t wait for assignment
-Ability to frequently lift 50 pounds, load, unload, and move equipment and tools
-Ability to work in adverse weather
-Valid driver's license and a clean driving record required
Must be able to work under difficult weather conditions in a construction environment. Must be able manage a flexible work schedule.
