Amazing job with various advancement opportunities
Membership Services Representative (Former Employee), Roanoke Rapids, NCJuly 16, 2014
Pros: advancement opportunities, great pay, healthcare
I believe this is the ideal job for many people. Great management that treats their employees like family. Co-workers were determined and energetic! The hardest part of the job is deciding what department to move up to. Everything about this job was enjoyable, especially being able to provide my own experiences to customers to help in their decision – more... on becoming a member of the company. – less

Pros: aaa membership discount, employee discount on travel and automotive dept

The management, do not know how to manage. You are expected to produce high numbers so those in management can reap the rewards. Their turnover rate in insurance is extremely HIGH !!! Terrible work environment !

Not really a great place to work
Call taker (Former Employee), Roanoke Rapids, NCApril 2, 2014
Pros: a paycheck (when it's correct)
Cons: favoritism and brown nosing
Policies are in place but not enforced the same for everyone. Too much favoritism. You are encouraged to speak your opinion but be careful, if you say anything negative management will keep a close eye on you and look for things to terminate you for. Some employees are allowed to get away with certain things that others cannot. Sexual harrassment gets – more... swept under the rug. Certain managers have been using their position and power to "get a date" with women employees that come to work there. Some of these women end up with promotions. Management expect anyone "under" them to do things they will not do. You will never see a manager working nights and weekends or holidays. It's just overall a very unfair place to work and it's getting worse all the time. – less

Facility Manager (Current Employee), Mt PleasantNovember 26, 2013
Pros: great hours. great people in the local offices
Cons: not alot of opportunity for promotion from out lying markets.
The pay is a little off. Based on the current economy probably in line. Great benefits. Not much interaction with corporate. They leave you alone to do your job.

AAA Huntersville, NC
Service (Former Employee), Huntersville, NCNovember 14, 2013
Cons: everything
Worked for AAA - Huntersville management is extremely deceptive. You are expected to work more hours than you are paid for, do duties that are not what you are hired for. In order to get anywhere in this company you must a brownnoser. At AAA Huntersville its best if you are white considering they do not hire minorities and have none on staff. Management – more... uses sexual statements around employees. Nor does management have your back you are always wrong. If you work here keep count on the knives in your back. Place is loaded with snitches. – less

Productive workplace in assisting people who need Emergency Roadside help
Customer Service Agent (Current Employee), Roanoke Rapids, NCOctober 23, 2013
Pros: early release
Cons: no sick time
When you arrive to work, it's expected to be a day where you put yourself in the members shoes. You have to care, understand, but most of all; listen.
If there isn't something that can not be resolved, there is a Staff awaiting to assist your every need.
The key is to work smart and not hard.

Facility Manager is a joke to work with.....He is very childish to employees, very hard person to work with. Then he would buy you lunch in hoping to stay on your good side without reporting him. To customers he does a great job.

No Future
Customer Resolutions Specialist (Former Employee), Charlotte, NCAugust 19, 2013
Pros: membership discount
Cons: no future for advancement, no minorites have an significant positions
Worked at AAA Carolinas for two years in the Insurance Dept. We had the lowest abandonment rate around 3% ever and no one still was satisfied. They hired a manager to help merge two companies, she came in micro-managing. Terrible environment, no minorities have any significant positions in the company. They will never grow because of the management.

Insurance Consultant (Former Employee), NCAugust 12, 2013
Expectations to produce produce produce, when they don't follow thru with things they hired you on, bonuses are a joke and non existent. No appreciation for your hard work and all they want you to do is prospect new members which is absolutely a waste of time. All they care about are numbers numbers numbers, whats in it for them not you. Just another – more... burn and turn. VERY HIGH turnover. – less
