A typical day is coming in, sitting in the call center, and taking calls for stranded motorists. I learned how to effectively navigate through google maps to find people.I learned how to calm anxious and worried motorists down.
Management is straight out of Mad Men. Pretty much all male and very old school attitudes. The culture is adequate. The company tries to do nice things like provide lunch occasionally for staff but management is very disconnected from the workforce.
The hardest part about the job is hearing people complain about how long it is taking to reach them. AAA does not have enough tow trucks and I can relate to the customer's frustrations. The most enjoyable part of the job were my coworkers.
