Amazing place to work
Certified Travel Counselor / Agent (Former Employee), Rockland, MA – April 3, 2013
A typical day would be to answer calls and help plan peoples trips. It was a great job, co-workers were great. The most enjoyable part of the job was making the dreams of members come true by planning their vacations with them.

Company was definately a 5star rating. I could not have asked for a better company to work for..
Service Center Manager (Former Employee), Indianapolis, IN – March 25, 2013
Pros: dealing with people.
Cons: imposed upon myself with the long hours i put in and enjoyed it.
My day typically started at 6:00am Monday thru the Saturdays I worked. I always went in early to get the finite items out of the way to enable me to be able to deal with my employees and the public without interruption. This is basically what I learned, get things out of the way to be able to deal with the member public.
Management was minimal as supervisors – more... were not on site. I thoroughly enjoyed the co-workers as my employees went out of their way to make our company the best we could be. The hardest part of the job was losing employees. When we had a license branch in our office, I had 21 people working under me and when we lost the BMV that count went down to 10.
I thoroughly enjoyed working with people, be they members or non-members who came into the office as well as seeing my employees succeed and make efforts to go up the ladder to further their careers. – less

Another NonCaring Place of Employment
Membership Services (Current Employee), AAA – March 8, 2013
Pros: closed on sundays
Cons: schedule
This department has unfair scheduling. There is rarely a chance for you to get a better schedule. They tell you one thing to get you in the door and once you are in its nothing but lies. The company has their picks and chooses. You won't get your vacation days you prefer. It will be more than a year or two before you get a better schedule. You have – more... to pray going in to work everyday. Its just a JOB for now. Definitely not a career. – less

In the past AAA was a good employer.....times change
Insurance Agent (Former Employee), Tampa/Orlando Fl – March 8, 2013
Pros: aaa used to care about the employee
Cons: high cost of heath insurance, stress, pay, managment
Managment will hire new employees and give them high hopes of large bonus checks. Once the unrealistic goals cannot be met then the typical revolving door of new employees continue....moral is low, managment doesn't help, lots of stress.

Nice place to work
dispatched drivers to assist (Former Employee), Newark, DE – March 6, 2013
Pros: clean, safe work envirionment
Cons: managers would review your calls and have meetings with you over the format of the calls., strict guidelines and script were to be followed during your call, without sounding robotic., if you went outside of the script you were docked points, wrote up and conseled on the call., you have to bid on your job every 3 months, and were not guarented the shift you applied for.
Answered roadside calls for distressed guests. Co-workers were easy to work with.
Management wasn't always helpful, when needed..seemed to be disturbed if you called them for assistance on a call.
Loved the interaction of the guests on the phone. And seeing the end results of thier calls.

Pros: good sales leads, and ways to make additional commission
Cons: to many things stand in the way of you being able to max out your earnings.
This Company Can be a Good one, however I think they are in the middle of many changes. Onsite work out room to help with the stres of the day. Overall They have one of the best roadside programs and one of thr best Insurance product for those that can qualify.

The comp. plan is awesome, but it's not worth all of the stress. Good benefits and fun environment with co-workers, but the guidelines and expectations are constantly changing.

AWESOME PLACE TO WORK!!!
Customer Advocate Insurance Supervisor (Former Employee), Omaha, NE – December 13, 2012
Pros: growth opportunity, continuous training, great people and family oriented
Cons: there are bad seeds in every bunch, but aaa does a decent job of weeding these people out.
I love my job, my coworkers and bosses! Yes there is some of the typical political BS to deal with, but all in all this is a great company to work for.

Small usually queit office, friendly staff
License and Title Coordinator (Former Employee), Hazleton, PA – December 10, 2012
Pros: flexable scheduling, expensive but affordable health care
Cons: a larger busier office would be better
The best part of my job is getting to know our regular customers, They seem to be part of the AAA family and make the day enjoyable-AAA is a friendly place to work andexpect all of the staff to be interactive with clients. The pay is not bad, but with todays economy more is always better and AAA gives you the opportunity to earn more with incentive – more... plans. The work day is a combination of multi tasking in a number of job areas due to the small size of our office. There seems to be an abundance of knowledge to absorb. The learning process is a daily task. Over all it is a nice place to work. – less
