Lead Sales Associate (Former Employee), Concord, CAMay 8, 2014
A typical day at the work place was a slow paste. I didnt learn to much from this job but one thing i did learn was the customer service. I become a better talker to those i do not know and how to engage. We did have some crazy days mostly around the holidays but even than it was at a slow paste and than just making sure everyone was getting all the – more... right framing. The co workers that were there were all very good we all worked great together and we worked as a team and made sure that all the customers than came into our store was taken care of. – less

Enjoyed working here
Customer service (Former Employee), Orange, CAJune 26, 2013
Pros: advancement
Cons: n/a
A typical day would be making sure all orders are ready to go. Merchandising and making sure the customers are satisfied. I learned how to frame. Management was easy to work with and gave alot of encourgement. Coworkers were easy to get along with. The hardest part of the job was learning how to make a pice stand out in a frame. The most enjoyable part – more... of the job was making a customer happy – less

Older crowd, slow on updating training and overall business plan
Assistant Manager (Former Employee), San Francisco Bay Area, CAJune 19, 2013
Pros: customers, art
Cons: lack of updating company standards and practices when it comes to training
When I entered this company every employee had something negative to say about the company. It was not just pay, it was lack of standards, managers were older and still using old manager ideals and ways. I was a fresh face and trained in the more contemporary management style, which helped for a time. But my contemporary values and a manager that yells – more... at you on a constant basis was not my for tay.

The customers, the art, and the location were the only things I will miss about this company. – less

A fun and educational work experience
Assistant Manager (Current Employee), San Dimas, CAAugust 17, 2012
Pros: pay and benefits
Cons: no room for growth within company
Aaron Brothers is a great place to work, but sadly there is not much room for advancement. I am always looking to grow with a company. The people I work with and the job itself is very rewarding. At work I would help the general manager run the store, help with scheduling, interviewing, and discipline. I learned so much as a manager there, from how – more... to better manage a large number of people, scheduling, HR, and leadership. My hardest part of the job is going to be when I have to leave the company. My most enjoyable part of the day is just getting to interact with new people everyday, providing the best customer service possible, and learning something new everyday. – less

Good Company... just a sad economy
Framing Designer (Former Employee), Folsom, CaliforniaJanuary 31, 2012
Pros: willingness to cross train, competative payscales
Aaron Brothers offers a great balance of retail flexibility and a creative retail work environment. One downside- in a tight economy people aren't as willing to spend extra money on art and framing.
