The Company engages in the lease ownership, rental and retail sale of a variety of products, such as widescreen, liquid crystal display (LCD) and plasma televisions; computers; living room, dining room – more... and bedroom furniture, and washers, dryers and refrigerators. Aaron Rents carries brands, such as JVC, Mitsubishi, Philips, RCA, Sony, Dell, Hewlett-Packard, Simmons, Frigidaire, General Electric and Maytag. The Company's major operating divisions are the Aaron's Sales & Lease Ownership division, the Aaron's Corporate Furnishings division and the MacTavish Furniture Industries division. As of December 31, 2007, the Company had 1,486 sales and lease ownership stores, which comprised 1,014 Company-operated stores in 33 states and Canada, and 484 independently owned franchised stores in 45 states and Canada.
