Program Analyst (Former Employee) –  Springfield, VAOctober 12, 2017
The job itself was fast paced and exciting. However, management at this company is less than desirable. If writing a review wasn't mandatory I wouldn't be doing one. I hope this helps.

Senior Acquisition Specialist (SETA) (Former Employee) –  Hanover, MDAugust 1, 2017
The benefits weren't that great and the management was very poor. Rarely saw the program manager. His communication was bad. He wasn't a trustworthy person.

OK company
Project Manager (Current Employee) –  Fort Belvoir, VAJune 26, 2017
The benefits package is ok--typical, but in order to get to the next level of PTO, you have to work for the company 10+ years.
Management is not very involved, as they should be.

All about keeping the 'In-Crowd' happy
Undisclosed (Former Employee) –  Aberdeen, MD 21001April 16, 2017
Most of the people are nice enough but most of the company's upper management consists of personal friends rather than qualified individuals. The owners are very kind and generous people, and I enjoyed working for them and that they made me feel appreciated. However, because so many of the managers are personal friends of the owners they get away with things they shouldn't. The environment can be very chippy and the whims of certain people must be appeased or you won't have your job very long.
Pros
Benefits package, Great yearly holiday bonus, Owners make you feel like family and like a member of the team

But do not go with this company? The management sucks, they do not support you in any way. There are far better companies out there then AASKI. Run for the hills, this company doesn't even pay well.

Construction Security Escort (Current Employee) –  Aberdeen, MDDecember 4, 2016
I have a temporary position with AASKI Technologies. The job meets my expectations and the level of support I receive from the office exceeds what is needed for the type of position I have.

Working here I learned the most out of all the jobs I have had.Face paced, helpful co-workers. The benefits could not get any better! Unfortunately its not within the healthcare field which is what I am going to school for (which is why I left).

A real family owned and run company.
Jr. Contracts Specialist (Current Employee) –  Eatontown, NJApril 14, 2016
Work load varied, but there was always something to do. I learned a great deal about contracting, travel, pricing, expenses, and employee management.

Company management are all kind and easy to talk to. They are understanding and willing to work with you in any way, as long as your job gets done, as are your coworkers.

Really the hardest part of the job is the nature of contracts in general. There is very little security.

The most enjoyable part of the job was figuring out how to solve day to day problems. Coming up with solutions, and improving processes is a lot of fun.
Pros
Family owned and caring.
Cons
No job security.

Outstanding place to work. Management truly cares for their employees.
Contract Administrator (Current Employee) –  Eatontown, NJApril 8, 2016
This is a fast paced environment in which a team attitude is a must. Work with a fun but focused group who takes pride in their output for this company. On our task order, everyone is like family and work toward getting the job done. It is a wonderful work-life balance and a pleasure to be a part of it.
Pros
Trust and confidence in their employees to get the job done without micro-managing.
Cons
As with any Contractor company, it is dependent on winning contracts to keep the position.

Small but growing company
Budget Analyst (Current Employee) –  Eatontown, NJNovember 1, 2015
AASKI is a small but growing company in the Government Contracting business. It is a place where the CEO knows your name and everyone receives an opportunity to succeed within the company.

Management is horrible! Very selfish company!
They do not care about their employees. They only care about how to win more contracts.

Horrible Place to work
Contract Administrator (Former Employee) –  Eatontown, NJFebruary 17, 2015
This is a terrible DoD contractor to work for. They micromanage their employees, and pay is terrible. The environment is toxic and they loose good employees because they don't have good leadership. Worst 6 months of my career. So many other great contractors to work for who know what they are doing when they win a contract, not just in it for the profit, like AASKI is.

Heartless Govt. Contractor and low pay rate
Reeptionist/Admin Asst (Former Employee) –  OceanNovember 10, 2014
This is a heartless company to work for. They are a DoD contractor who is growing too fast and don't know what they're doing. They hire and fire skilled and good people before they even give them a chance. Their expectations are unreasonable and unrealistic. I know people there afraid for their jobs because they are firing so much. They keep posting the same positions because they don't give their new employees a chance. Pay is very low. Do yourself a favor and stay away. There are many other DoD contractors out there that are more appreciative of their employees and more professional.
Pros
Close to places for lunch. About it.

AASKI Technology is an excellent company.
Technician (Former Employee) –  Ocean, NJMarch 22, 2014
AASKI Technology is a small-medium company that keeps growing and going from strength to strength. With several contracts with the Department of Defense and other arms of the U.S. government, AASKI keeps winning contracts it seems on a weekly basis. It is well positioned to become a large company in the future.
