In April 2009, the Company submitted an assay for C-Reactive Protein (CRP) to the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for 510(k) clearance. In May 2009, it entered into a license agreement with Abbott Point of Care Inc., granting the Company the right to sell and distribute Abbott’s i-STAT 1 handheld instrument (i-STAT 1 analyzer) and associated consumables (for blood gas, electrolyte, basic blood chemistry and immunoassay testing) in the animal healthcare market worldwide.
