We were under contract with International Paper Company at the Mansfield, LA mill and my daily job would be to go in and assist the Site Manager with daily financial reports, monthly reports as well as sending them to the home office in Wickliffe, Ohio. I did Financial Forecasting and Accruals and facilitated meetings, etc. ABB sent me to Ohio for training – more... (on my resume) This company stood behind training if you were willing to learn. I learned so much through working for them. I am no longer employeed with this company due to loss of our contract. I enjoyed everything i did within this company. – less

I loved working at ABB Inc.! I learned a lot and my day went so fast while at work. We had excellent team and people who were dedicated and hard working.
Only reason I left as I moved to USA.

They do not value employees. Relocated people only to get rid of them. They hire new people and the new people become decision makers. There is no job security.

Good foundation - truly international company with many opportunities to learn.

ABB treated their employees as assets to the company. They always strive to help you further your career and paid for my accounting degree. I learned so much from this company and miss working with all the employees. They were very good in hiring the best employees to work with.

Making sure contracts follow guidelines for ISO, processing booking orders, communicating with outside customers.

ABB isn't a bad company to work for. The problem I was experiencing is the position I held required a LOT of travel. Even with the position being salaried, the company required a lot from everyone (more than they were compensating with pay benefits).

The job is alright however, during the summer months you don't want to be inside due to the temperatures in the building.

Alamo is a good place to work and has a bright future. Management can be an issue but this is true everywhere.

ABB is a large company with a steady flow of work, but the work will not always be in your building and they tend to rush threw alot of employees as the work increases and decreases. Great Management and over ethics but compensation and security can be lacking.

THIS COMPANY GAVE BACK TO THE EMPLOYEE'S FOR ALL THE HARD WORK AND REPORTS OF IMPROVEMENT IT WAS SAD WHEN DEPARTMENTS HAD TO CLOSE DOWN OR MOVE TO OUT SIDE OF THE STATE.

My major job is doing Cenovus project in our office, I got both offsite Pad and Pipeline electrical design experience in oil & sand field. In addition, I have learnt and ability to handle multiple projects at a same time.

ABB has a large portfolio of Electrical products that are well engineered, that are benchmarked in the industry.
