Weak management that didn't understand Fixed Income
A UK based global investment manager (Former Employee) – Philadelphia, PA – January 6, 2018
Management struggled to understand the fixed income business and as a consequence made decisions that were detrimental to successful investing. They kept buying companies only to loose the assets under management due to not understanding the business in the US.

Aberdeen is a great company that treats employees very well and are establishing a strong foothold in the US. However, being a European company, they are facing cultural challenges regarding compensating and retaining their salesforce.

Compensation and challenges with inexperienced middle management

Terrible Management who doesn't care about their employees. Only seeks approval from their bosses. Terrible work/life balance. Coworkers were incompetent and could not perform job adequately. I would not recommend the company. Culture was nothing like I expected with too many people who believed they knew everything.
