fufilling job but workplace needs improving
Direct Support Professional (Former Employee), Lafayette, IN – January 3, 2013
Pros: great co-workers, overtime
Cons: management, breaks
Assist physically and mentally disabled adults. This job helped round my morals and beliefs. My co-workers were great and made everyday fun. The management however seemed to be driven on gossip and it is an enviroment where you have to "suck up" to move up. The hardest part was dealing with management. When I first started there was a lot of overtime – more... offered to me and promises of a promotion. However, after one small disagreement with my supervisor, overtime stopped completely unless there was nobody else to fill in and there was a lot of complaints about my work all of the sudden. The breaks were also minimal. I worked 9-5 and only recieved a short ten minute break around lunch. No lunch break and no 15 minute breaks. The best part of the job was seeing the consumers faces light up everyday. Everytime you teach them something new and they grasp the concept and continue to do this on their own, you know you changed their life, if even in a small way. I would definetly work this job again but not at this facility. – less

Pharmaceutical learning dynamics
Educational Coordinator (Former Employee), San Juan, PR – October 18, 2012
Pros: best company i have ever worked for.
Cons: company downsizing global scale
When recruited at Pfizer, I worked in the distribution center. Handeling domestic and international customer sales orders that included sensitive RX orders as well as OTC orders. We used precise first-in/first-out in inventory electronic radio frecuency (SAP) computer digital hardware and software data through hand-equiped devices and procedures. I – more... was acknowledged and rewarded for creating a label format and template for packages on customer orders using different printers in computers.
Afterwards, I got promoted to the sales and marketing depts. And my duties and responsibilties had to do with cargo shipments, understanding maritime laws, regulations and custom procedures. Panama, is the central world distribution center of merchandise in the American hemisphere. Worked directly with that Liberal Zone in Panama.
Later on, I was named as a Educational Coordinator facilitating to all sales representatives and marking staff on RX medicine literature for hospitals, health instititions, doctors and drug stores throughout Puerto Rico. Coordinated conferences in different cities with doctors and health providers to provide up-to-date information in relations to our health and drug products. – less

Managing Party Rentals
Manager (Former Employee), Watertown, NY – September 9, 2012
Pros: i loved working with the customers
Cons: some days you didn't have time for a lunch break, you ate on the run
My position was to always arrive early. My theory is if you are 10 min early your on time if you are on time your late and if your late.. why are you there. We had a sign on the wall that stated you dont have to be crazy to work here we will train you.
If you do not enjoy the position you are holding then you are not working hard enough at it to make – more... it satisfying to you. In that case maybe this is not to proper job for you.
I have been lucky to always hold positions that I enjoyed. I am grateful that I am able to stand on both legs and have a job to go to. I do not look negatively on things. I always try to find the positive in each situation. – less

Talking heads...
Data Architect (Former Employee), Minneapolis, MN – August 19, 2012
Pros: above average compensation.
Cons: cluless executives, and power grabbing management.
The CEO is an idiot. He wasted hundreds of thousands of dollars because he thought 1 person was working on his 'pet project' when in fact it was a team of 6-10 people working overtime. He doesn't have a clue about what it takes to run a business. He laid off a huge number of people to save his job and his bonus. He did the same thing at McKesson a few – more... years before. I know because I have friends, top notch Oracle DBAs, that suffered in that layoff. – less

Fun social environment working in the community
Sales associate (Former Employee), New York, NY – May 7, 2012
Pros: free lunch, office air conditioned setting
A typical work day involved coming up with workshop agedas for controversial topics prevelent in teen society. Conflict resolution, Peer pressure, etc..... I loved my coworkers we bonded as a team to come up with excellent and interesting skits and agendas for all our workshops. The hardest part was overcoming shyness being a young public speaker, trying – more... to get through to a crowd of teenagers. What I enjoyed most was being able to network and meet so many people and also feeling the positive influnence I had on my peers. – less

Técnico ADSL (Current Employee), São José dos Campos, SP – May 7, 2013
Pros: crescimento pessoal, é desenvolvido o tratamento e satisfação do público

– less
