Women's health has always interested me. Working with new moms and newborns was rewarding and uplifting. Night shift (11p-7a) was tough to balance with school. Management was not always clear with communication to night shift.

While employed with Abington I learned all about multi tasking and time management. I became more of a team player with my co workers. I loved to meet new people at my job, and I got a wonderful feeling when my patients thanked me for my services.

Excellent work environment as well as salary. The work itself was simple enough but still an honest day's work and i worked with a great group of people and management. i liked the flexible schedule also.

Abington strives to provide quality patient care on all levels from administration to physicians, nursing and support staff. I loved my time at Abington and all the people who I had the pleasure to work with and who supported me during my time there. Due to family issues I was not able to stay but hope to return someday.

Receive nursing report, provide medications and assessments to clients. Assist clients to get to therapies. Any additional medications, admissions and discharges. Fellow RN's were excellent and would help if needed.
Hardest part of the job was there was always a low census and I was not working on the unit I was hired for. I learned some things about areas of nursing I was unfamiliar with (for example would get pulled to Oncology) Nursing assistants would disappear.
Most enjoyable were colleagues and caring for patients.

Handling All registration and verification of patient information. Customer Service, ensuring results are prepared for Doctors in a timely matter. Calling in Stat reports. Handling all clerical functions in the Cat / Scan /IPU departments.
