This position’s most important duties revolve around basic accounting procedures as they pertain to inventory and filling customers’ purchase orders. This individual will perform a range of general accounting duties such as receiving inventory after it has been verified by the Inventory Manager, obtaining customer purchase order numbers, creating a sales order relating to a specific customer purchase order and corresponding pick ticket. The full order process should then be administered by the Accounting Clerk to verify its completion and then forward the original documents to corporate for invoicing. Office Assistant duties will include answering phones, taking detailed messages, logging calls, forwarding canned-quotations on machines and accessories, and all-around assisting the employees’ requests. Timeliness, good organization skills, assertiveness, attention to detail, energetic, and friendliness are very important qualities in this position as this person will be interacting with our customers and employees daily.
