Loan sharks
Assistant Sales Manager (Former Employee) –  New York, NYFebruary 24, 2018
All lease-to-own companies are loan sharks. You will do well to ignore corporate strategy and think for yourself about how to handle the customers in your area. Very top-down oriented company with a weak minded CEO
Pros
Discounts on products
Cons
Everything else

Account Sales Manager (Current Employee) –  Bronx, NYFebruary 21, 2018
Acceptance Now needs more experience trainers. It lacks lots of employees and extra work is caused because of it. Environment is very unorganized. Can be much better. No personal life time is left while working so many long hours at this job.

Good Place to Work
SALES MANAGER (Former Employee) –  Hunt Valley, MD 21031February 16, 2018
A typical work day for a manager consists of 10-11 hours (minus 30 minutes to 1 hour). Most stores are high volume and workload is often heavy but can be rewarding if you do not mind a challenge. Workplace culture is team oriented but often times conflicts arise with employees of the host store. The hardest part of the job is conducting collection activities, and working long hours that take away from the work/family life balance. The most enjoyable part of the job is meeting good people.
Pros
Pay and benefits
Cons
work hours long and exhaustiing

Challenging, exciting work environment in a competitive field!
Sales Manager (Former Employee) –  Huntsville, ALFebruary 16, 2018
Typical day consists of phone calls. Phone calls. Did I mention you make a LOT of phone calls?! Taking payments, administrative tasks (reviewing/filing reports, files, and other operations paperwork.) Collection/Marketing calls, and assisting in-store customers with payments, purchases/payouts, writing agreements, mailing out letters, assisting customers with Service issues, pick-up requests, bankruptcy and other legal matters. I learned how to execute the former tasks and take ownership of my business. Management was constantly rotating and turnover is extremely high. The hardest part of the job was trying to assist your customers with what little control you had to executre your job successfully. I really enjoyed managing my own store and building relationships with customers that lasted years.
Pros
Full-time, with paid overtime weekly, great coworkers, decent pay
Cons
Retail environment, so say goodbye to holiday-time with family

ASSISTANT MANAGER (Former Employee) –  TexasFebruary 13, 2018
Working at Acceptance Now was a very good experience for me. Like all jobs, you have your days when you are just completely stressed.. but most of the time I had no complaints. They worked with my schooling/personal schedule as much as they could. They offer many benefits to their employees. Starting pay could be better but you have the opportunity to move up! Your work is always recognized. Depending on what client store is hosting you, hours may be long but if you are with the right team (like I was) it will be a breeze!!!
Pros
Lunch breaks plus two 15 min. paid breaks, two off days at least, ability to move up
Cons
tiring hours

Long Hours and Stressful
Sales Manager (Former Employee) –  Northridge, CAFebruary 9, 2018
Company makes you work long hours with unrealistic expectations set that set employees up to fail. Collection and telemarketing calls were being done according to upper management that were against federal guidelines.

Boring, repetitive job
assistant sales manager (Current Employee) –  Albuquerque, NMFebruary 6, 2018
You'd open and close the "store" that's inside another store., count the register, make your rounds of calling people who haven't paid and call those on the 1st/15th to remind them to pay. You call them a total of 3x sometimes 4 throughout the day. In between you try to get people to take the expensive bait and sign them up to waste 5x what a piece of furniture/ electronic is actually worth.
Pros
Benefits, store staff
Cons
No lunch

SALES MANAGER (Current Employee) –  FloridaFebruary 4, 2018
The goals and the work plan are not set for real day to day buisness. Dont expect your staff to work extra and then get angry when there are needs for overtime pay. Its the job you work until a better job comes along. You are a number and not a person, working with goals made by people who have not worked in the field but claim to know the road to the top.
Pros
wkly pay, Full time work.
Cons
Long hrs, no pay to cover work needs.

The work place it clamming but can create a hard time when the client does not bring in sales that were turned down by them. Also this job is for someone seeking to be away from home because the work hours are long and schedules are not set.
