Don't Bump Heads with the Current Clique
Auto CAD Operator (Former Employee) –  San Leandro, CAJuly 2, 2017
ACCO is a company with much potential but is plagued by cliques and nepotism.
ACCO would run so much better with more professionalism and less of the "buddy" system.

Back biting , throat cutting
Service Technician (Former Employee) –  Santa Maria, CASeptember 1, 2016
Worst culture i have ever worked in. Management has zero regard for hard work or ethics , employees are for the most part more worried and occupied with getting ahead that they will cut anyone's throat.
Threatened from day one with DEATH , by an admitted former drug smuggler.
Unless you are adept at this unethical game and have no conscience ,look elsewhere. You may make a living but the ax is only a swing away.

Large company with many resources. The culture is poor and makes you feel like a number in a spreadsheet. Name recognition in mechanical industry.

The sense of helpfulness from coworkers was really positive.
AutoCAD Drafter/Operator Contract work (Former Employee) –  San Leandro, CAJanuary 14, 2015
A typical day working at ACCO Engineered Systems had a fast paced but well structured environment. I really gained deeper insight and learned how important networking really is. My department manager was always working on numerous projects and meeting deadlines. But always willing to find time to help others where and how he could, while making sure you understood the task at hand. This overall sense of team work was great and needed especially for new employees. That might feel underprepared for the heavy work flow using newly learned skills. At times working at ACCO made me wonder where the week had gone with how busy it was. But there were always times to build a closer friendship by playing ping pong or just talking.
Pros
Learning about new products over a free lunch.
Cons
The amount of request and time given to complete them.

While employed, working environment changed
Accounts Payable Clerk (Former Employee) –  Glendale, CAAugust 4, 2014
From a partnership of construction engineers to a corporation. I learned a lot. The transition to a paperless invoice processing system within our Profitool environment was interesting. This was part of the growth experienced. From a family of project engineers as partners to a corporation, the internal office lost contact with the partners. The flow changed from serving the partners to saving the corporation money. Having come from the City of Los Angeles where I was blessed with the feeling that I was serving the "people"
I realize now that serving the partners was a driving force for me.
The transistion to a CORPORATE environment was not smooth.
