Case Manager, Queens Village, NY - May 14, 2016
A typical day at work is interacting with the clients and providing case management. I learned how to identify positive symptoms and identify different psychiatric medications prescribed. Management is poor and directors are unable to make decisions without being micromanaged. Team work is essential in this position. Co-workers were helpful. The hardest part of the job was paperwork. Majority of the paperwork was extensive and unnecessary. The most enjoyable part of the job was the hands on experience in the mental health field. It was a huge stepping stone to better opportunities at other agencies. Many of my colleagues and myself that worked at ACMH has gone to better positions in a higher salary bracket with less work. I would definitely apply.
