The specialist will champion the delivery of the product message to external parties (market, client, prospects, channels) as well as internal colleagues (development, support, management). Outside the organization, the specialist will be critical in delivering a consistent message regarding the functionality and direction of the platform.


Business Analysis (30%)

  • Collect, organize and prioritize client and prospect enhancement requests
  • Convert requirements into product development specifications
  • Work with Development, explain requirements then validate prototype output within Rapid Application

Design framework

  • Develop release notes and participate in the change management process
  • Manage the library of product documentation

Product Management (30%)

  • Strategic Planning and longer term trend forecasting
  • Roadmap preparation and validation
  • Research market trends and develop knowledge of pertinent issues
  • Interact with various areas of the organization to communicate, explain and advocate product plans
  • Develop expert level knowledge of investment performance reporting, application, performance analytics, and general platform application

Project Management (30%)

  • Oversee resource allocation for current development projects
  • Maintain longer term project plan; outline course corrections as needed

Advisory Panel Liaison (10%)

  • Interact with advisory panel members and subcommittee chairs
  • Develop agenda and notes for quarterly meeting

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • 4 to 7 years’ experience in investment management, investment advisory or brokerage services industry ideally in a business analyst, product manager, product support or project management capacity
  • Familiarity with the Registered Investment Advisory (RIA) market a plus, but not required
  • Experience with Schwab's PortfolioCenter, Advent Axys, or other Portfolio Accounting Platforms a plus
  • Experience with web-based investment advisory products (including performance measurement, analytics, accounting, modeling and trading) a plus
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills, as well as a keen attention to detail
  • A desire to gain deep understanding in the area of investment management practices including portfolio management, accounting, performance measurement, modeling and trading
  • Superior interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with an array of individuals and personalities, including clients, prospects, management, vendors, internal constituents
  • A polished, refined communication style that appears at ease in front of a high profile audience
  • Bachelor degree required
