Ophthalmic Technician, Gloversville, NY - November 27, 2012
We see 70 patients on average per day, in 15 minute intervals divided by 3 or 4 ophthalmic technicians. I've learned how to cope in a fast paced environment, and have experience on both fronts; as a technician and a receptionist. The hardest part of the job is getting along with everyone being in such a small office. Duties were not seperated between each individual equally. I took on a lot of responsibilities, more than any other employee there, and was "expected" to perform above and beyond my requirements. The most enjoyable part of my job was meeting and getting to know the patients. I believe they have changed my life in more ways than one, and I would hope to believe I have influenced theirs in one way or another.
