Registered Nurse, West Allis, WI - May 29, 2012
I worked on a schedule that changed on a daily basis, because this was a pool service. They sent me to what ever facility needed me for what ever shift was needed and the shift could be canceled at a moments notice, so I never really knew my hours from one week to the next. There was no insurance provided with this job either. Sometimes I worked as a floor nurse and other times I worked as the supervisor. I had to get to know the staff and the residents very quickly, which could make the job very difficult at times, depending on the facility, but it also made life very interesting and enjoyable. I got to meet a lot of new people and made close friends this way. I was able to learn how to use new machines that other facilities I had worked at did not have. Management was to inform me of daily and weekly scheduling only.
