Court Designated Worker, Bowling Green, KY - July 22, 2015
The job itself was very fulfilling as I was able to help the accused of various violations of law avoid entering the court system through diversionary programs. The atmosphere was harsh with co-workers who would routinely create a very hostile environment behind closed doors, but show the opposite as soon as management was present. Alternately, was only able to report to a field supervisor who would routinely change the expectations of how to perform expected duties when they came to the office which was once or twice per month. I believe the bad job experience was the result of an under managed atmosphere, but the field supervisor may have just had too many offices to cover. The on-call aspect was a little much as I was limited to 20 hours of total sleep during my first week on call. I try to be a positive person and look for the good in every situation, but can honestly say this was without question overall the worst job atmosphere I have yet to experience.
