During my work at this psychiatric hospital I learned alot about mental illnesses. The hardest part of the job was when a new young adult came in for an admission. Just to hear the customer win the excitement that comes out of there voices.

This job was an in school work-studies program. I got the opportunity to make a little spending money, and it was a very laid back job.

Nice place to work and you'll meet many people each day from all demagraphics.

Staff are so kind!! They helped me out all the time! I loved being a volunteer there.

Students come here just to get a stipend check. Boring job that involved calling people all day. Basically, you are a telemarketer. Students never showed up for interviews. When they did they could not enroll usually for various reasons. No transportation, no co-signer on loans, in default on loans from a previous institution or the cost of the school – more... was too high. 6% raise did not happen due to financial problems within the company. Stale atmosphere. The people were nice. Hours are terrible. – less

Great job to meet new people and help them make a difference in their lives. Very difficult to reach expectations with declining enrollment numbers.

Due to performance was promoted to Associate Director of Admissions leading a team of 25 Admissions Officers to recruit and enroll individuals into College Diploma, Associate and Bachelor Degree programs in Medical, Criminal Justice, Photography, Graphic Design programs. A typical day consist of speaking with hospital representatives and families in order to admit new patients. Also assisting the business office manager with billing and month end closing. I administered both entrance exams, The Compass and The Assett testing for college course admittance. The environment was great, new people to see and help any way I could.
