The Network Administrator's role is responsible for LAN/WAN connectivity across multiple sites, Firewall and VPN administration, Domain Administration, Email Administration, Server Administration, User Support. Ensure that hosted websites/applications are accessible, perform Server/PC maintenance (hardware/applications) and back-up functions. Ensure that VOIP system is accessible. Ensure that highest level of security and integrity is maintained at all times. Install hardware and/or software, including upgrades. Keep track of asset inventory. Creates/Sets up new users, and closes out terminated employees. Responsible for troubleshooting issues from 100+ users both onsite and remote.
Scripting/programming to automate tasks, Data Analysis when required. Assist local and corporate IT Managers with special projects as assigned. Responsible for tracking time spent on projects. Able to travel to off-site locations when required. May be required to work evenings and weekends; some on-call hours may be assigned. Also other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Able to configure, and manage: Windows Active Directory, MS IIS, MS SQL 2005/2008, Cisco Routers/Firewalls/Switches, Domain Admin with ISP (including managing/configuring SSL certs when required), Able to Manage VMware/SAN environment. Able to perform WAN/LAN administration/maintenance. Able to maintain Server/PC hardware/applications. Able to perform software upgrades. Must be able to lift hardware equipment up to 40 pounds without difficulty. Must be able to bend to install equipment and cables at user stations. Must be able to multi-task and handle multiple projects simultaneously. Must have reliable transportation to visit and support remote sites as needed.
Formal Education and Certification
BS or Technical Training with Computer Related Courses.
Cisco CNA, Microsoft MSCE/MCITP a plus
