Security Guard (Former Employee) – Denver, CO – March 31, 2017
Car rental agencies typically rent cars to clients who need automobiles for only a short period of time. When it comes to renting out these cars, the car rental agent is considered the front line for fast and friendly customer service. Agents not only rent cars to clients, but also they may offer them other types of products, such as car upgrades, GPS systems or additional insurance.
typical day at work drive rental cars from the rental area to the cleaning area every day. detailed and clean all vehicles to be rented again. Management was poor, we had to hand wash the cars, the reason the car wash location will go out of service because of mechanical problems. The hardest part of the job was cleaning the rental cars by hand. The most enjoyable driving the clean rental cars to the rental location at the airport entrance.

Could be a great company, has a constant black cloud hanging overhead.
Several positions (Former Employee) – Florida – January 12, 2017
Company is going through another major financial crisis. Very slow pay for vendors, It's a shame really. Closing locations that are capable of profits as well. A lot of same faces still around and in charge during 3 bankruptcies, do you see the trend yet? Unnecessary bloated salaries for unqualified individuals.
Good benefits within industry standards, New green logo and uniform, Looks like a EuropCar acquisition is imminent
If your not a robot and within the circle, your out. Don't think of expressing a new idea, your boss needs to claim it first!!
Advantage rent a car is a very nice company to work for. The management is well organized, helpful and friendly. If you like working at the airport, you are good in sales, have experience in customer service this is the company you want to work for. Also the co-workers are amazing.
Customer Service Associate (Current Employee) – Salt Lake City, UT – December 15, 2016
Change of pace and different field of work that keeps me on my toes. Learn the in and out of sales adjusting to customers needs. Scheduling inconsistent with prior weeks. Scheduling constantly changing.
Incentives of having holiday bonuses
The inconsistent scheduling and feeling of favoritism.
Vehicle Service Agent/Shuttle Driver (Current Employee) – Lihue, HI – November 21, 2016
so a typical day is like any other day. you come to work clean cars and put on the ready line. that is basically it. the work environment can be a little hostile as we share the lot with another rental company.
IT Service Desk Analyst (Former Employee) – Orlando, FL – November 2, 2016
Starting with management they are not organized at all , don't expect training, mandatory over time.. as an IT you will be doing all levels of support for the same salary the manager is never a good mood.. do not know how to talk to his employees. I do not recommend working here.
Administrative Assistant (Former Employee) – Denver, CO – September 16, 2016
This company is completely unorganized. The management is constantly changing because no one really wants to work for the company. Multiple HR issues and you might as well go straight to HR and not even discuss anything with the managers because the communication is lacking in that department. Compensation for the work you due is way under market. and then they will add additional work to your plate without compensating you for it.
they do not pay for benefits and their packages are very high, if you have a family emergency you get written up for it, change of management, change of ownership often, can not pay bills on time.
Vsa, Return agent, Fleet help, Flex Agent (Former Employee) – Salt Lake City, UT – July 11, 2016

Counter Sales (Former Employee) – Salt Lake City, UT – July 8, 2016
Never enough car's available for customers. Over worked and under payed. Not the friendliest atmosphere. Constantly pressuring agents to upgrade, sell insurance or sell gas. I will never work at a place like that again. I rather be homeless and eat out of dumpsters before I ever put myself through that again.
No set breaks or lunch, pay sucked, co workers are sharks
sales (Former Employee) – Killeen, TX – June 28, 2016
Started out detailing the rental cars and then quickly advanced to inside sales, which was a supervisor position, supervising the detail agents. Managed which cars needed cleaning, servicing and made ready to go in proper order of appointments, Set appointments, processed credit card payments, provided up-sale insurance opportunities to customers, provided customer services to customers on a walk-in basis. Studied competitive prices and adjusted rates accordingly. Excelled in sales and obtained the highest paid bonuses monthly at the company. At times conducted whole business operations independently, to include teams of 3 or more employees successfully and without issues. I continued to work faithfully with the company until they closed down.
Interim City Mgr (Current Employee) – Jamaica, NY – June 1, 2016
Open 24 hours a day 7 days a week. Love customer service, sales, employee development. Multi-tasking, customer service, employee engagement, sales, preparation, and constant change is key for success. Work life balance is the hardest part of the job.
Never work here (Former Employee) – Irvine, CA – May 29, 2016
Worked their for 2 weeks. Its a shame! They have disgusting cars, poor customer service, and a treachrous city manager. They don't answer customer phone calls on purpose. They lose customers everyday. I have told customers to go else where and don't waste their money and time because they complained about the service being so bad. I had no potential in making commission due to the manager letting another agent take most of the contracts. I see this company falling apart. They hire young naive managers who have 0 experience. They never have cars available.
City management, upper management, weak fleet, favoritism.
