What do you think -- is this company going to survive and thrive? Are they looking to expand their staff, or do you think layoffs are inevitable?

Hi. I was wondering: the salary listed as low 30s to 40s by the person replying to a post in an earlier thread...is that for full-time or part-time work?

Every business has it's own style. What is the office environment and culture like at Advantage Sales and Marketing?
Are people dressed in business casual, jeans and t-shirts, or full-on suits? Do folks get together for Friday happy hours and friendly get-togethers?
What is a typical day in the life of an employee at Advantage Sales and Marketing?

What kind of education / degree, experience or job title would be necessary for someone to do the following job:
1. Determine a strategy that optimizes selling. For example, if 60% of the businesses signing up are food related (such as restaurants), then how should this influence how sales are carried out in other cities where a sales team will be deployed? Are there certain patterns that can be viewed that indicate higher customer acquisition and can these patterns be duplicated? Are younger store managers more likely to sign up than older ones? And many other questions. Needs to address these questions and come up with one or more strategies to maximize sales.
2. Businesses want repeat customers. A lot of businesses have different ways on how they accomplish this. Some might employ a customer loyalty program that gives rewards for repeat purchases. What kinds of customer loyalty programs are there? Can these be translated into something in the mobile world that users find useful? Needs to be knowledgeable of various customer loyalty programs and which ones are applicable to which kinds of businesses.
3. Businesses want to analyze data when they use the service. For example, which ads/deals are working the most? How do theirs compare with their competitors? Needs to figure out the kinds of online analytical tools that need to be part of the service that businesses can use to identify what is working for them and what isn't and offer suggestions on how to improve. For example: Is their product price too high? Should they be selling on a different day of the week? Are more women buying it than men?
4. Needs to think of features that should get developed and integrated into the mobile and web app that will help businesses get a good ROI which essentially means that the service being offered to them brings them higher revenue.

I worked for Advantage Sales for 1yr on the Small outlet team that covered Mars/Wrigleys.
My route included over 300 stores to do in my cycle.
This came out to be 8 stores per day with only 6 hrs. per day or total of 27 hrs. per week. We were also told that we had any where from 35-55 mins to do each store. Then it was changed to 20 mins per store but they wanted everything done in that time. This was not capable with the time given. I also drove at least 35 or more miles per day and needed to drive to these places. I was under Alvin system. And if you know this system it was bad.
I started with mileage amount of $17.60 per day then it went down to $16.70 and by the time i was laid off it was down to $7.40 per day or just below .14 cents per mile. The goverment gives $.50 per mile.
When I complainted it only took about two months with the new manager to let me go.I also started my job everyday doing my downloads, then going home on my own time to do my nightly downloads which i never was paid for....
Now I applied for Unemployment and now I was told Advantage said i was discharged. But I was told I was being laid off. So now I may not get any money .
I think this lawyer should also try to get mileage money for all of us.

Applied for two positions and missed call for interview. Called back and no one had a clue who I was or who had called me. Called back again and left several messages, but no reply. Called back again and told to 'walk-in' and interview and that 'i should know where the interviews are being held'. Yeah, right! Seems rather disorganized and unprofessional to me.

Hello in Houston, Texas 54 months ago
I am wondering because I hear it can be like 3,000 miles a month... which is about 750 miles a week. This seems like A LOT!
So like 80-100 miles every day.... and I heard the gas reimbursement is not very good at all.
Do you guys enjoy the job? I know it's work from home and on your own and at your own pace for the most part... but does the driving get pretty ridiculous?
