Exciting creative environment
SR. FINANCIAL ANALYST/PAYROLL MANAGER (Former Employee), San Francisco, CA –
Pros: lots of company functions
Cons: no real advancement opportunities
Supporting the creative effort was very rewarding. A typical day required constant flexibility between working with one client to formulate future cost projections to analyzing historical data for another client to rate card analyses to preparing city payroll taxes.
Company culture was always a critical consideration for anything and everything the – more...  agency did. As a result, I got to work with a fantastic group of people. Back office at an Ad Agency by definition is "lean and mean" so I was hands on in many areas including involvement in general accounting as well as client accounting. It was a very dynamic, rewarding place to be. – less

Project focused, yet relaxed
Operations/Accounting Manager (Current Employee), Nashville, TN –
Pros: relaxed environment
Cons: intensity level of work
Advertising by its nature can be intense. Since I have control of how the projects flow through the agency, I am able to funnel the work through in a way that reduces the stress, yet keeps everyone focused on the task at hand.
