Fixed Income Trader (Former Employee) –  Charlotte, NCNovember 1, 2016
I worked in the Charlotte, NC office for 3 years as a trader where there was constant turnover, unfair bonuses and extremely poor management. This company also has a poor reputation in the market with ssubpar talent. CEO only cares to advance family's careers and bottom line.

Laid back but serious professionals with income growth in mind for the clients and themselves
ADVISORY CONSULTANT - Hired (Current Employee) –  San Antonio, TXMarch 9, 2015
Smaller company with growth minded attitude. Healthy and positive relationships with employees. Lacking in the new hire training programs, but make it up in the laid back atmosphere. Great company to make money if you have enough time and success in your role, but don't look to make much beyond your salary the first year.

The Regional Directors are great and mostly just one of the team. VPs can be disconnected depending on your success, but they can be your best support team when you seek it out.

If you're in the wholesaler industry for investment products, this is a great company to grow your income with for the South Texas region.
Pros
Great environment and management
Cons
Pay structure could be better and lack of a vertical in the company is very apparent

Advisor Consultant (Former Employee) –  San Antonio, TXApril 2, 2013
Demanding, and competitive work enviroment. Not much team work, even though they want people to think they have it. There main goal is to make money.
Some of my co-workers were truly trying to help registered investment advisors, while most just "sold" fixed income products.
Hardest part was finding another job that paid as well as AAM, here in San Antonio, TX.
Pros
relationships i made with ria's over the years.
Cons
long hours, keeping abreast of the market changes
