The accounting manager has no clue what she is doing. Do not take this job. You will be the scape goat. Everyone is nice, but ultimately years of mistakes will be pushed to you and you will not have the right authority to correct the issues due to the accounting manager. Run!!!
Good learning experience and worked for a wonderful Regional Manager who was always there for me and provided great training on a continual basis. Very flexible hours and I was placed with a very good provider.
AEGIS is a wonderful employer with great ethics and integrity modeled throughout. The downside was working alone and waiting to be needed by the client. The upside was having the knowledge I was helping to fight drug abuse and playing a small part as protective cloak for the providers.. As a remote employee one needs to be a self starter, honest and dependable. The business was growing leaps and bounds. With the growth comes much change and many compliance training modules was added as basic requirements weekly and monthly duties. I have great respect for this company and would work for them in the future if a fulltime position was available in my area.

A typical day at work would be to gather all the supplies that I needed for the day, go into one of the patients rooms and I would start to test the urine samples that the patients would leave at their appointment. I learned how to test samples in different ways. The first way would be in the cup given to the patients. The second way I learned to test patients would be to get an oral sample by swabbing the inside of the patients mouth. I worked with medical assistants in the office and they were all so very nice. If I had a question they were always there to ask. I would say the hardest part of the job would be the language barrier that I had sometimes with patients. The most enjoyable part of my job would be getting to know everyone I worked with and communicating with the patients. I would also say that knowing I did my job right is also a highlight.

Aegis Sciences Corporation was one of the most wonderful companies I have ever worked for. They truly care for their employees and their families. On a typical day I was greeted with smile. The management team was always more than willing to help you with any questions or situations. I learned may new skills working as a Collection Technician as it was a job that I had no prior training. They paid for all of my training and helped me to the absolute best of their ability. I would recommend working for Aegis to anyone who wants to advance in the drug testing field.

The CEO and founder is as political as his Congress Woman wife. However, everyone works on pins and needles all the time. Management is well known for patting you on the back one day and letting you go the next. Upper level management is not required to follow guidelines enforced on others. If your looking for great pay, benefits, and constant fear of losing it all this is the job for you.

Aegis Sciences Corporation is an amazing company to work for. I had the pleasure to provide adequate results to the physician regarding the patients drug compliance. Testing patients gave the physician the right to know if the patient was taking medications are prescribed and would also determine any elicit drugs in their system.

Management only promotes their friends, you work weekends, holidays and 12 hour shifts. No family time. Pay is not suited for the degree requirements and job requirements, constantly lowering the start pay. The management targets people they do not personally like and will make up write ups. Management has no problem getting attitudes with you in front of colleagues. Management has no idea how to run the lab. Do not use the open door policy because you will become a target. Will fire you for any reason. They like sheep, so if you can work and not open your mouth then you will be fine working here. Working here drains your soul every time you step into the lab. Questionable practices in the lab. I would not trust my sample to be tested at this place. I hear the office section is good, the lab portion is not. Every person in the lab is looking for a new job, no one is happy. If they can make a new rule to make your life harder they will. The turn over is ridiculous, a person who has been here a year is considered old because they cannot keep people. Managers bully people who are not their friends. Some managers sleep with their employees. You get one thirty min break and two fifteens for a 12 hour shift but are constantly reminded that they only HAVE to give you one thirty min break for the 12 hour shift and if you don't need the other 15 min breaks then don't take them. They watch the videos and time you and if you are one minute late from a fifteen min break the bring you into the office and scold you and tell you that you are stealing from the company, and they write you up.more... The bring in people from out of state so they can work them into the ground with mandatory over time. The first month working there it seems amazing, then you will see through all the lies and began looking for a new job. RUN, RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN AWAY FROM THIS PLACEless

Conducted Drug Screenings and communicate between client,CTC,and Aegis Management with billing and any other questions. I would follow the standard procedures for sample collections for the doctor's patient's ensuring the integrity of each “Chain of custody” and sample. Keeping records of hours and weekly samples collected. Not always a glamours job due to the fact that it is urine. :)
The hours and shifts are great if you don't have or do not plan to ever have a life outside of the company. No holidays but you get decent vacation time that you can not use, tons of corporate politics,no respect. Lab management is unprofessional and petty and only promotes their friends or yes men. They lead by putting team members against each other because they have no people skills. No real science factory work w/o union. Very high turnover and no career advancement. Constant mass exodus of good team members. If you have the chance to work in support staff departments it is a completely different world.

A typical day at work consists of collecting urine samples for Urine drug screens and completing paperwork for the sample. Everyone is great to get along with and always willing to help out when needed.

some times patients can't urinate, so you have to wait till they can.

If you're about to be a lab employee, get ready to work 12 hours shifts, two days on, two days off. Sound Great? 5 am- 5pm or 5pm-5 am.. you work at least one day every weekend except one.If you expect to have a family life outside of Aegis...look again. You are not afforded maternity leave, you must pay for short term disability options in order to have time off for pregnancy..yes they look at it as a disability. You are a very disposable employee. Be ready to play favorites and suck up as well as for childish high school backstabbing and tattling! People here are willing to say anything to move themselves up. Upper management is definitely clueless. Outside of the lab employees such as HR think it's an amazing company to work for. They should, they get to work M-F 9-5 and get paid holidays and also get paid the same bonuses you receive for working in the lab. All outsiders of the lab are referred to as those "drinking the Aegis cool-aid". There is no room for advancement unless you have an "in". Middle management are very unprofessional and often act like your "best friend" in order to get information from you and thus will turn on you instantly if they receive lies about their informants. Along with this they often speak to you like they are 14. Favoritism is running rampant in this company! This may seem like a great company on the outside, but walk away...quickly. Although there are no employees currently working in the lab who will openly admit they are unhappy there (for fear of being fired) I can guarantee that at least 50% of them are seeking employment elsewhere!

We work 12 hour shifts, two days on two days off. Management doesn't know have to manage and there is no communication between anyone. As an employee, you do not know how your doing and there is little advancement in the company.

the only thing positive I can say about this company is that they pay well. their personal leave benefits are good but their health care benefits are not. don't work for a company that has an arrogant corporate attitude like they are untouchable like this company does. also, the company is heavily involved in politics because of the connection to a senator. you will have to fit into the popular cliq or you are not worth anything to the company and they do treat all their employees like you are expendable and easily replaceable. they are quick to let you go for any reason especially if you do not fit their mold and their extremely unrealistic expectations. you cannot be human and you cannot express yourself in any way. so basically, if you are liberal, look for a better suited company than this one. you cannot be unique to whom you are and remain true. you will be judged the company just does not give a warm fuzzy feeling in that it endorses, supports and nurtures and encourages personal growth or anything. not employee friendly. the IT dept is treated like red-headed step children of the company and never get any honorable mentions for their support in keeping the company IT infrastructure (which is what keeps the company running along with the lab), the lab gets all the kudos! the management team (the leaders and the team leaders) breath down your back and threaten you for being human and they hover. the certainly watch over your shoulder. you are treated like kids and they do not trust. also, definitely watch your back in the IT dept. very gender biased too it seems in thatmore... dept.less
pay is decent. that is all that i can say positive about the company
company overall is very biased, judgemental, arrogant, and much more.
