Great Place
Collection Technician (Former Employee) –  Charlotte, NCAugust 15, 2017
I worked remotely in a doctors office and I absolutely loved it. They pay very well, 40 hour weeks with a lot of PTO, and you work what your office works.
Pros
free lunches, Pto, 401k, Insurance
Cons
No overtime is allowed

The management at this company is terrible. If you want to be paid well and have every movement you make watched and criticized then this is the job for you.

Forensic Mass Spectometrist (Former Employee) –  Nashville, TNAugust 5, 2017
This place was great for experience. I learn a lot about the field there. Long hours were required and a large work load is as well. As long as you do your job, there is room for growth.

Aegis is a great company to work for if you have a great RSM. Over all the corporate office care's nothing about the lively hood of its staff which isn't corporate. You have no room to grow with the company and they DO NOT HAVE YOUR BACK.
Pros
Great company when it comes to f/t schedules
Cons
They dont have your.

Cannot recommend this place to anyone
Manager - Projects (Former Employee) –  Nashville, TNJune 6, 2017
I have been here for 2 1/2 years and have moved on due to the following:

1.) Poor work/life balance - they take it for granted that you are just crazy to work 70 - 80 hrs per week on salary.

2.) Management - this place is very political and do not even think about a promotion unless you are an upper level manager's drinking pal.

3.) Communication - you never know what is going on or what you will do today, let alone tomorrow.

4.) Low pay - this one amazes me the most, given they are in a highly competitive market like Nashville

The bottom line - take your talent somewhere else, that will value your contributions as an employee and facilitate that good work/life balance that you made career choices to have for yourself.

Great People and Good Atmosphere
Laboratory Instrument Engineer (Current Employee) –  Nashville, TNMay 5, 2017
Aegis is a good place to work the culture is to take care of the employees. Some departments are better than others as far as the trust and responsibility given to you. Overall they try to take care of everyone but can sometimes be more friend then manager and that prevents things from progressing.

Company in downfall
Accounts Receivable Specialist (Current Employee) –  Nashville, TNApril 22, 2017
The CEO and founder of Aegis was forced out by an investment company. The CEO cared very much about the company he formed and especially the employees that worked for him. That made for a wonderful place to work. Now the investment company is looking to cut in any way possible and pump up the bottom line to prepare the company for resale. Employees are overworked and belittled in every way by management in order to do more with less. Employee morale has hit rock bottom and most are looking for another job. There are many health care companies begging for employees out there. Take my advice choose one of those.
Pros
It is a paycheck, although it will probably be short term.
Cons
Low morale, micro managers, overburdened workload, and uncertain future

It is a ok place to work. Some departments are better than others. No communication between Management and Team members. The job can come very redundant very quickly. Pay is good. Benefits are good. It is difficult to take desired time off.

Not the most glamerous position I've ever served a capacity in. As it deals with human specimens. But overall, a great company to work for, and excellent benefits.
Pros
Lots of perks, Anniversary recognized by Co. with a gift card

Handling cups of Urine

Patient Access Representative (Former Employee) –  Nashville, TNMarch 10, 2017
In 2 short years Aegis went from being one of the best places to work and now to a complete mess. If you're currently looking for a job, take my advice and don't look here.

Horrible place to now work
Follow-up Specialist (Former Employee) –  Nashville, TNJanuary 27, 2017
This company used to be an absolute amazing company to work for in the patient access dept. Now is a totally different story. Management is HORRIBLE. Specifically the patient access manager. She will talk down to you, she will lie to u and about u and she will try to bully you. HR has been made aware of the issues and refuse to do anything about it. I worked here for almost 7 years with very little turn over but since she has taken over they are leaving one right after another. She will not hire any decent help and they are always behind.

Use to be great, not now.. don't waste your time!
Patient Access Specialist (Former Employee) –  Nashville, TNJanuary 16, 2017
Pay is great, but you'll be expected to live your life for work only! Management was great, but not any more. Maybe if you removed certain management positions, then just maybe things could change for the better. Certain people think they know it all, but they sure don't want to help get the work done! HR has been made aware of issues with management staff (one likes to bully and talk down to you) and yet nothing is ever done... expect that you'll be the next out the door.

Forensic Special Chemist (Former Employee) –  Nashville, TNNovember 5, 2016
Good benefits and pay. Don't trust management, coworkers or HR...even the good ones have their hands tied for fear of losing their own jobs. The open door policy is a farce and a trap. Good science practices. Ever-changing work environment. No work/life balance. Unrealistic expectations. Reactive culture. No union. Keep record of every interaction, and make sure there are witnesses....won't help you while you're there but may help when you leave.
Pros
Good benefits and good pay
Cons
Bullying culture from head down
