Working at Aetna

  • Treasure White1975 4 months ago
Applied on line on the 10th, received email today to take the assessment online thru Aetna People Scout. I had the option to review my answers but all 23 questions said "attempted" I contacted them and i was told that my information is sent to HR. Did anyone have any issues like this? I answered all questions. How long is the normal turn around time to hear if I passed?

Hello everybody I was just wondering if anyone could help me with my new position as a policy administrator ... I'm starting on the 4th of November and I just want to be well prepared. If there is anyone that is doing something similar or familiar with any of my job responsibilities any help will be really appreciated. Below are my job responsibilities: 1) ensure timely and accurate processing of new business, renewals and mid term adjustments 2) perform quality control checks on processed policies. 3) Establishes and maintains strong, collaborative relationships with clients, brokers and other Aetna departments. 4) has proficiency of Aetna statements and is able to assimilate and translate relevant information on products and policies. 5) adhere to best practice process, service standards and all relevant statutory or regulatory requirements 6) maintains case tracking tools to meet constituents and business goals 7) ensure that legislation and compliance has been properly adhered to with regard to plan sponsor and member activity (FSA TCF and market specific requirements). 8) Research , respond and provide alternatives to inquiries from internal and external constituents. Thank you :)

Every business has it's own style. What is the office environment and culture like at Aetna? Are people dressed in business casual, jeans and t-shirts, or full-on suits? Do folks get together for Friday happy hours and friendly get-togethers? What is a typical day in the life of an employee at Aetna?

I had a call from the company doing the background check today. Mind you I have never not passed a background check. But they wanted w2's from 4 years for a part time job. Called the Recruiter and he was not sure how it would impact me if I did not provide the information. I was able to provide a name of a previous coworker and they were able to verify the employment for a Direct Sales at Home position. However my question is how long does it take. I provided her with all the answers for the background and when will they submit it to Aetna for final decision. It has been nerve wracking waiting for the decision and I am supposed to start on 10/21. Anyone heard of someone not passing the background or completing and finding out from Aetna whether they were ok or what? They had the completed application a week before I was offered the job.

I recently applied for a positon with Aetna in ATL. It has been about 3 weeks but my online status still says "Being Reviewed". Is the status updated even if you are not contacted for an interview? How long does it take before you hear anything? How is it to work at Aetna?

What do you think -- is this company going to survive and thrive? Are they looking to expand their staff, or do you think layoffs are inevitable? How does Aetna stack up against the competition?

Just got hired to work for Aetna selling their Medicare Advantage plans. Looking to hear from anyone who currently sells Aetna Medicare Advantage plans. Was the total comp $65k-$100K (including base) reality or are you struggling? How is the culture, training, etc.. Are you a robot for Aetna or can you use your own creativity in the field? Do you have a life? Thanks for your response. Have a blessed day!
