Senior Enterprise Architect (Former Employee) – Chicago, IL – March 15, 2018
normal days, happy that i was very very busy. Good collegial environment, distributed teams were working exceptionally well. The only bad thing was that sometime it was difficult to get hardware/software resources because of too many bureaucracy (even when we knew that the resources were physically available)
Patient Service Representative (Former Employee) – Orlando, FL – March 15, 2018
Aetna is a great company to work for. A typical day was a fast pace 8 hr shift answering 65 plus calls or more a day average. Management was ok. Not the best, some managers are great others not so much. Moat enjoyable part about the job is helping patients get what they needed.
October 10, 2014 .BSwift agent (Former Employee) – Pensacola, FL – March 14, 2018
The job was Temporary through a third party vendor West Corporation. No chance for advancement or growth. Position limited to enrollment date for open enrollment only beginning in October and ending in December.Although the position was temporary I learned more than ever about the insurance marketplace and requirements for Medicare and health insurance requirements.
Upper Management does not have a sense of process improvement. Place friends in leadership positions that they are not ready for. They are not people first which can cause them to lose great employees.
Bi - lingual Customer Service Representative (Former Employee) – Tempe, AZ – March 13, 2018
My experience at Aetna was great, the training was sufficient . Management was always available. The hardest part of the job was when people called out more work was put on the employees that were there. Most enjoyable part was the family atmosphere.

Provider Service Representative (Former Employee) – Allentown, PA – March 13, 2018
good company, sometimes the managers let their personal lives interfere with staff. but i enjoyed the coworkers and we had potlucks and they liked to feed us and we did get quarterly bonuses if metrics where met
RN CLINICAL NURSE EDUCATOR (Former Employee) – Alpharetta, GA – March 13, 2018
I've worked 2 positions at Aetna, and I can say without reservation they have been my best employer to date. They have lots of Work At Home (WAH) positions, decent benefits (though our members have better insurance coverage), and a management that really wants to see their employees advance.
I've never regretted taking a position with Aetna, and I wish them well.
Work from home, Aetna is very comfortable with telecommuting, every Black Friday is an Aetna holiday
Some people not comfortable with the "silence" of working from home, or not seeing other people they work with, might find it lonely. The insurance coverage leaves a little to be desired, which I found odd.
