The Affiliated Network Operations Center (NOC) Network Administrator is responsible for standardizing customer environments through best practices, working to eliminate reactive issues, and identifying technical risk. This position is also responsible for troubleshooting level 2 & 3 service requests that require an excellent working knowledge of server and networking infrastructures.
The NOC Network Administrator works closely with the Technical Services Manager and the vCIO to implement standards across our customer base and is heavily involved in the affiliation of new customers.
The NOC Network Administrator is also responsible for staying current on industry leading solutions that we provide to our customers and keep abreast of new technologies that we could potentially support in the future.
The NOC Network Administrator will also create documentation for ensuring the Support Associates and Ambassadors are able to reference accurate and detailed information when needed in supporting a customer environment.
The NOC Network Administrator regularly communicates and updates the customers, Technical Services Manager, and other management staff regarding the status of projects, critical client issues, and concerns, and suggests areas to help improve client satisfaction and overall team efficiencies.
Network Administration Tasks
1. Evaluate, implement, and document standards on customer systems
Recommend & apply best practices to new and existing customer networks
Evaluate ways to mitigate risks and reactive issues
Document customer networks and help create standards
2. IT Support for customer systems and network infrastructure
Advanced support escalations from Support Center and Engineering
Support services for Microsoft related technologies
Support services for virtualization technologies
Support services for WAN/LAN, Firewall, Router, and Security
Communication with customers as required
3.Personal & Professional Development
Corporate required training
Industry certification training
New hire onboarding training
Cross training for customer environments and new technologies
Documentation of job processes
5. Other duties as assigned
Desired Skills & Experience
Microsoft MCSA or MCSE (required), Citrix CCEA or CCIA, SonicWall CSSA, Cisco CCNA, or VMware VCP
Interpersonal skills: such as communication skills, active listening and customer-care.
Bachelor’s or Associates Degree in IT Field or 5+ years of proven experience.
Minimum 5 years of experience in a Network Administration role.
Demonstrated written & verbal communication skills.
5+ Years in the IT Field
2+ years of providing phone support
3+ Years of Proven Customer Service Skills
Self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast moving environment.
Ability to multi-task and adapt to changes quickly.
Attention to detail that ensures accurate entry of service requests is highly desired.
Understanding of support tools, techniques, and how technology is used to provide IT services.
Salary Range 55-70K plus benefits
