Fun, energetic day at the office.
Web Chat Sales Agent (Former Employee), Opelika, Alabama – May 1, 2013
Pros: we would get a an hour off work if we got the most 10 (highest for excellent job well done), we were able to listen to music while we worked, the company often gave free lunches and we played games.
Cons: the lunch breaks were not long enough.
A day at afni was overall fun. It taught me the dynamics between customer and and agent. I have learned compassion, and patience since I am a customer as well. Management was always around when needed. My co workers were the best. We would help each other and competed against other teams for best customer service. The hardest part of the job was not – more... always being able to complete, an issue the customer was having. Due to being a agent our tools were limited and we often had to transfer to a supervisor. – less

Horrible Company
Customer Service (Former Employee), Work from Home – March 11, 2013
I was a work at home employee and had constant technical issues through their server. Well they fired me because of that! They said it was because they "couldnt keep me online" to meet the expectations for their client (Verizon). They were so cold towards me when they let me go so they in my opinion the worse company to work for ever!

Ok people, break rooms, very sell oriented
Customer Service and Billing Rep (Former Employee), Tucson, AZ – February 8, 2013
Pros: flexible scheduling, overtime available often, break rooms with vending machines
Cons: pay, very stat oriented, some management
AFNI is a call center. It is a good place to get yourself some experience in customer service, but not to start a career. You handle a high volume of calls and handle billing questions and sales opportunities. The hardest part of the jobs is putting up with the customers. The most enjoyable part are the people that work there. Almost every type of person – more... works at AFNI. It has its pros and cons, but I did enjoy the time I spent there. – less

AFNI True Review
Customer Service Representative (Current Employee), AZ – February 3, 2013
Pros: free coffee once a month and occasional food in the break room.
Cons: short training, poor selection of supervisors, and disorganized departments.
AFNI is the first and only company that I have worked for that has been able to earn a single-star review. I am reviewing AFNI not based from my co-workers or customers as I did enjoy both, but the management. To begin AFNI has shortened the training period to a total of three weeks so if you are expecting to obtain both the knowledge and skills before – more... being on the floor then you thought wrong. The first month will be miserable as I have seen with new representatives time and time again. Luckily, being as AFNI is completely unable to properly train its representatives, there are many willing co-workers to assist you and you can expect to do the same in the future for new employees. Do NOT count on the supervisor to guide you either as AFNI has set up a chatroom called SPARK for employees to post questions for supervisors and other employees to answer. You can expect to be sitting idle at your desk for long period of time as nobody answers your question. You will also notice that supervisors are constantly unwilling to assist you and will advise you to wait in the chatroom SPARK for a supervisor to assist you with your call. I have myself and seen others wait in this chatroom for hours and as your bonus is based on average handle time on the phones it will irritate you, but that's seems to be alright with AFNI management. If you are expecting to be employed at AFNI for a long period of time then you can forget about it as AFNI is one of the worst turn-over rates in the country due to the poor training, useless supervisors, and disorganized departments that you have to deal with including the great language barrier between you and a rep in INDIA. – less

Not even worth 1 star
Rep (Former Employee), Bowling green ky – November 10, 2012
Cons: everything
Best part of this place is the benefits.

However, it's still not worth working there. I worked at for almost 6 years. Turnover rate is horrible. Majority of the employers u talk to have been there less than 2 years. I just figured it was the bowling green ky afni that was horrible but after reading all the comments it's just afni in general. If u want – more... to work at a place where u r just a body to take calls/# and not respected as a human being. I definitely recommend afni. They do not care about u as a person, u can easily be replaced to a new hire making less than u. If u don't like something, basically they r like there is the door. ( no matter how long u r) this is bc if they r paying u more- u r only 1 person that can only take so many calls but if u go, they r able to hire 2 new hires that they will have to pay a little more but can take twice as man calls bc they get paid per call. They promote idiots and hr is a joke. – less

Horrible employer
Customer Sales Consultant (Former Employee), Opelika, AL – October 17, 2012
The coaches do not assist you or give you the information you needed. Was terminated due to a death in the family and the coaches refused to give proper information. The turn over rate of employees is astounding, they have at least an 85% turn over rate, and they will terminate you for any reason, even if its their own fault!!!!!

Terrible place to work
management (Former Employee), Bloomington, IL – October 3, 2012
Pros: benefits are good
Cons: everything else
What a terrible place to work. I worked in the professional side of the business and got to see first hand how management treats their employees. One even commented that anyone can replaced. So much for valuing your employees. If you are a call center rep THERE IS NO advancement. Also, they are not flexible on schedules. The only flexibility is if your – more... needs fall outside of your shift.

Turnover is very high. I heard that in many locations company wide its well over 100%. Some even over 200% Think about that... That speaks to how well they treat employees and how long they stay.

They push the "great place to work" on employees and advertisements. You should already be a great place to call yourself that. – less
