Customer Care Consultant (Former Employee), Opelika, ALJune 28, 2014
Cons: benefits
A typical day at work consisted of taking inbound calls and assisting customers with their online account. I learned how to be patient and explain things to the customer so that they understand and how to de-escalate a situation. Management was horrible. co-workers we great to work with. the hardest part of the job was having to sit all day.

Fun and everyday new experience workplace
Customer Care Representative (Current Employee), Evans, COJune 24, 2014
Pros: experience, benefits, flexible scheduling, possible monthly bonus, the people
Cons: hourly wage, staying in one area all the time with not to much to do
A typical day at work would be on the phone speaking to many different customers going over their account or troubleshooting their devices. I learned so many wonderful things such as; building and maintaining great reports with customers, customer service, finding the root cause of the call and fixing the issue and so many more great experiences. Time – more... management between full time at work and part time at school was a learning process but they were very flexible in which is one main quality I'm looking for in a work environment. My co-workers are usually dealing with their own customers but we do assist each other if ever questions and make a good day out of those long calls. The hardest part of the job is making sure my score card results are at the best they can be. With the many things we are graded on it can definitely bring stress if not watched. The most enjoyable part of the job is meeting all these new people every day that have many different stories to tell and experiences that we can go over together. I do love the flexible schedule they can work with and also the benefits. – less

Typical Day at work
Customer Care Representative (Current Employee), Bloomington, ILJune 22, 2014
Pros: very nice co-workers, always willing to help
Cons: dealing with a lot of angry customer all day long.
A typical day at work would consist of taking incoming calls and assisting customer with phone issues, billing issues, purchasing phones and addressing all concerns regarding their account. Co-workers are great, very nice. Hardest part of the job is having the angry customers verbally abuse you. Also there is a survey system you must pass or else you – more... will be reprimanded. Most enjoyable part of the job is when you get the awesome, nice customers. – less

It was a call center. Managers didn't know what they were doing. And working was always a risk to being fired for not being good enough.

Afni, the not so great place to work.
Collector II (Current Employee), Bloomington, ILJune 3, 2014
Pros: insurance benefits
Cons: unattainable goals for bonus, management, job insecurity
A typical work day; log into the computer and start making outbound calls. I got very few inbound calls. Was very stressful to meet my monthly goal. I learned that collections is not for everyone and is a very stressful job when given outrageous goals to meet each month and then having your job threatened when not meeting those goals. Some of the management – more... there was really exceptional and easy to work with and ask help from. Some I wouldn't ever want to approach. Those were the ones who picked favorites and ignored the ones they didn't like. The hardest part of the job was logging in everyday to make outbound phone calls and collect no money. My coworkers were the most enjoyable part to my employment with Afni. It was extremely hard leaving the company because of the great friends I made there. – less

Web Chat sales Agent (Current Employee), Opelika, AlabamaJune 2, 2014
Pros: being able to control and access schedule.
Cons: long exhausting work hours.
Daily I go in and sit behind computer. Chat online with customers about verizon wireless products and services. I have learned how to build rapport with customers. How to access accounts and keep customer information protected by notating accounts and verifying accounts. Customer service. Co - workers and very friendly. I feel that there is nothing – more... hard about the job. The enjoyable part of the job is employee recognition. Earning rewards for hard work! – less

decent job
Customer Service (Former Employee), Bowling Green, KYMay 26, 2014
Pros: free lunches sometimes, healthcare, decent management
Cons: didn't feel there was room for advancement, some customers
They worked with there employees to the best of there ability with health issues, fmla, basically anything came up they would attempt to work with you. They have a system for switching days in case of emergencies or dr's appointments. We worked a lot with verizon customers and the management was understanding of issues assisting customers and would – more... help assist the best they can. The hardest part of my job was when customers interrupted or did not want to listen to what I had to say because that would drive up my times on the phone. I was very conscientious of my times on the phones and all stats that I had to adhere too. The best part of of the job would be the management always tried to make the employees happy and feel that it truly was a great place to work. for example dressing in costumes. dressing up and doing pictures with santa. – less

Pros: fun, competitive.
Cons: healthcare
I loved working here. There were always games and competition, prizes to win to keep us motivated. They made it as fun as work can be! I made a lot of life time friends while working at AFNI. The hardest part of the job was leaving, when I moved back to TN.
