My co-workers were productive and fun. The environment was comfortable and they how to have fun without any confusions on the job or anything you are going through. My employers are just generous; they are like family I can feel welcome and talk to them about anything. I have learned at this job is to have fun through hard times and happy times because – more... they make think about the new day. Although, I did not stay at this job for long because this was a summer intern; then I went back to school. I hope there is an opportunity of my profession that best fit my resume and my extraordinary summary. Thank you for your response and have a great day! – less

Computer Tech (Former Employee), Chicago, ILJune 20, 2014
A typical day with jobs was getting computers rebooted them up to see if they had any viruses on them, wiping the hard drive, checking to make sure nothing was missing in the inside of the computers also making sure everything was connected, and update them with latest Microsoft office.

Wonderful learning experience
APPRENTICE (Former Employee), Chicago, ILMay 14, 2014
Pros: working with clay, meeting new people, making friends, gaining new skills, gaining experience
Cons: short breaks, over the years the pay was reduced to below minimum wage
This was a great experience for me to have throughout high school. In the beginning, I was just getting used to the tasks that I had to do. Working with clay was familiar to me but in some cases I had to recycle clay which I had not done before. After a week or so, I got used to the environment and became efficient and productive in the workplace. I – more... was able to produce so many pieces that I was able to take many home. All of the pieces that went to the gallery were sold to consumers. I received my stipend and enjoyed the experience. – less

Everyone was very open and honest with one another. We participated in many group oriented activities, such as college trips, visiting museums, attending the annual LTAB (Louder Than A Bomb) Competition. To elaborate, the competition was based off of many different creative writers, but specifically poets who voiced their individual as well as group – more... pieces for a panel of judges and a full audience. – less

Tennis Coach (Former Employee), Chicago, ILApril 4, 2014
Working for the After School Matters program was a very fun and different experience. I had a fun time working with the kids and teaching them new skills. I learned that patience is a big key when working with others. When I first started work my co-workers were a big help with learning the kids names. I think learning the kids names were the hardest – more... part of my job. The easiest part of my job was actually teaching the how to play tennis, over all I had a great time working in the After School Matters Program ! – less

Pros: the co-workers
Cons: short-breaks
Theres allot of things I like about after school matters, new people and new things you can learn, from my typical day at working with kids are that they love attention and want to know more about you in every way, as in "Can you draw?" "can you tell us a story when you were our age?" "How do you do your hair?" Its very fun and very cool, the co-workers – more... are amazing, There always there for you even if you just met them. when you get to know them there like your best friend. the hardest part of my job is leaving because I don't want to go. and the best part is going to work. – less
