Field Investigator, Buffalo, NY - December 24, 2014
I only worked here for a year, which was too long. It started off as a good place to work with guaranteed hours and a salary which was nice. After about 6 months everything changed; the owner got rid of salary pay and it went to hourly pay which was horrible because then our hours went down. There were times I was lucky to work 8 hours a week and then there were months where I was sent 4 hours away every week for days! They did not compensate anything towards wear and tear against your car which would've been nice seeing as how I was spending way too much all the time on constant oil changes and tires. The main owner of the company is not a good guy. He would constantly compare the work you did to his, and God forbid you needed a day off because you were sick, he won't pay you for it even if though you have sick days. If you can't get any video of the person because they decided to stay inside their home, it was always your fault. If things didn't go his way, he treated you like an unporfessional and made you check in with him as soon as you arrived at the job sight and tell him where you were sitting and what you were doing. I had quit this job to work for a company with stability and better pay and I gave 2 weeks notice, big mistake. He cut me off of working for those 2 weeks because he claimed it was policy which is bull. Then he refused to pay me for the 2 weeks before I quit because he was mad that I did quit! Very vindictive and spiteful this man. If you live in Buffalo, there is harldy ever any work available so don't apply for this job if you live in that area.
