Summary: This position is responsible for accurate worldwide shipping and logistics operations. Will lead the Logistics department to further develop, improve and execute best practices related to domestic and international logistics. Will also initiate and maintain Shipping Compliance Manual and Program
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.

§ Coordinate global shipment of small and large freight
§ Interact and develop relationships with freight and global logistics companies
§ Establish cost-effective shipping options, including ocean carriers
§ Coordinate with vendors and customers to ensure timely arrival of cargo within allotted budget
§ Compliance with state, inter-state, and international customs regulations
§ Responsible for NAFTA and EXIM documentation
§ Complete and maintain accurate shipping documentation
§ Maintain accurate usage and billing records
§ Work extensively and effectively with Sales Coordinators in negotiating shipping terms and conditions
§ Create and maintain reports
§ Maintain logistics tracking system
§ May occasionally be required to pack crates, operate forklift, load packages, and help maintain inventory.

High School Diploma a must. Two to four years international and domestic shipping and logistics experience; ocean freight experience is highly preferred. Must understand international shipping documentation and terminology (HTS, ECCN, INCOTERMS, commercial invoicing, tariff documentation, etc.)
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Internet Software.
